Wii Remotes
Anyone know if Wii Remotes are cross compatible from other territories?.
Seeing as per Nintendo's usual Christmas sales push involves making sure that their hardware and peripherals aren't available anywhere, I was wondering if I bought a Japanese copy of Wii Play with Wiimote if the Wiimote will work with my UK Wii?. As there are one or two of us who have no interest in the Christmas squeeze and just want to get stuff for systems we already own.
Cheers.

The Wiimote should do, no problem, but Wii Play won't.

Wii motes
Dear all,
Please be careful about this as wii motes arent multi region ,i have two wiis one pal and one NTSC and their wii motes DO NOT work with eachother , i suspect this is due to the differing sensor bar frequencies !
So please dont waste your money.

Re: Wii motes
I was going to say the same thing. Isn't it to do with how the sensor in the remote works with NTSC and PAL screens? Obviously PAL Tv's have more lines than NTSC screens, and NTSC display's run at a higher frame rate than PAL ones. I would've thought Wii controllers would be the same as light-gun'svp002 wrote:Dear all,
