sHeavy - The Electric Sleep.
Good, long running Canadian Stoner band. The singer sometimes really imitates Ozzy's specific vocal nuances, which is odd.
I was going to buy some of their stuff on iTunes, but then just found out they are giving their first five albums away on their website, which I downloaded.
If I like em, I'll pay for their newer albums and their DVDs then.

I liked Private press but wasnt keen on the Outsider (think thats what it was called) they are the only two i've listened to. I liked his work with UNKLE too on Psyence fiction. What direction has he took with his new release then?DJCarlos wrote:The new DJ Shadow album......genius.

Yeah, it's a great atmosphere record, ah it's amazing.
Re: Currently Listening To Thread.
"Endtroducing" has been voted the best electronic album ever a number of times, that's a bold claim but it may well be correct......
The new album is not "Endtroducing Part 2" by any stretch, but it's also not another "Outsider". It's closest in feel to "The Private Press", but if I'm honest it's almost a greatest hits style collection, inspired by the best bits from all the previous albums.
If you like "Psyence Fiction" you'll love "Endtroducing"!

Devil Driver - The Last Kind Words.
I got myself a legitimate copy, and the sound quality is great. Last one I had to collect by them. Its a good album, especially when it goes a little outside their usual sound.

Sixty Watt Shaman - Reason To Live.
A lot like Clutch, with whom they've collaborated and toured with.

Hammers of Misfortune - Fields/ Church of Broken Glass - I just love this band, and they've got a new album coming out soon, so I've been preparing by listening to the last one... on repeat... all week
I'll have to break out my entire Manowar collection again soon though what with their UK tour looming, I can't believe I'm going to get to see them twice in one year! Unbelievable!

I have mostly been listening to 'the Hunter', the latest Mastodon album. I'm struggling with it, to be honest. They seem to have adopted a more easy listening style, akin to Muse in some places. There are a couple of seriously heavy and convoluted tracks which I like, but so fa the rest of the album is a bit 'meh'. What happened to the crazy drumming and prog metal/thrash sensibility?!?
