Yeah, they're absolutely demented! I think the Fall covered "I Hate You" under the title "Black Monk Theme Part I". I haven't actually heard their cover but I love the original so I must get off my arse and do that soon. I recommend you track down a copy of Black Monk Time if you can, it's one of my favourites. They've got an electric banjo that is used as a rhythm instrument and their singer has got my favourite voice in the world. He sounds completely unhinged:

"Alright, my name's Gary.
Let's go, it's beat time, it's hop time, it's monk time now!
You know we don't like the army.
What army?
Who cares what army?
Why do you kill all those kids over there in Vietnam?
Mad Viet Cong.
My brother died in Vietnam!
James Bond, who was he?
Stop it, stop it, I don't like it!
It's too loud for my ears.
Pussy galore's comin' down and we like it.
We don't like the atomic bomb.
Stop it, stop it, I don't like it . . . stop it!
What's your meaning Larry?
Ahh, you think like I think!
You're a monk, I'm a monk, we're all monks!
Dave, Larry, Eddie, Roger, everybody, let's go!
It's beat time, it's hop time, it's monk time now!"

'Mansard Roof' by Vampire Weekend. They're not a goth band, honest.

Oh and after years or searching the same friend managed to find me: Frank Bruno: Eye of the Tiger 8)

There's a track called "Dangerous" I do actually like it, although maybe it's a bit to Amercan for my liking, doesn't really seem to have its own sound, unlike say British Rap

I love TTC. Their fave track of mine is one you can't seem to buy anywhere. Travailler (orgasmic remix), at least i think that's it. They're best when produced by Para One, who is also brilliant.
Let's go to the mall!

Rachmaninov Concerto no 3. Takes a bit of getting used to, but by god it is an amazing piece of music:

I just got a copy of it, that's great stuff. The way he shouts "stop it stop it! I don't like it" sounds like he's ready to crawl back into his bed in the asylum. That's one to stick on in the morning to get ready to face the world.
