Picross DS

Post by Hendo » Sun May 13, 2007 6:35 pm

Anyone else picked this up?
It's been the only game to cause me to take out the Puzzle Quest card from my DS.
In simple terms, it's a puzzle game, kind of similar to Sodoku or Crossword but not as dull as it sounds. It's all based on logic and is mega addictive.

The best way of explaining it perhaps is to show you, so here is the official site (CLICKY) and here is an online version you can try out (CLICKY).
I've finished the Easy Mode and I'm now going through Normal and there's shed loads to do. Plus, you can create your own puzzles and send them out to people online or locally, and battle people online or locally.
Oh, and download free packs of more levels from the server.
It's great - here endeth the pimping session.

I've been playing it since it was named Mario's Picross on the GB ;)

I like it so much that I've made PSPicross too.

I'm really tempted to get it (especially since Ninty so kindly e-mailed me about it but I was too tired to search for the online demo.) I adore a good logic puzzle *spot the philosophy student* 8)

I've been thinking about getting this game as I love logical puzzle games along these lines.

One quick question though, when i've done these in the paper etc, you can mark squares that you know are definitely not shaded.....can you do the same on the DS?

You know on old minesweeper on the PC, you could mark squares that you know definitely don't contain bombs or those that might contain bombs.......be good if you could do the same on this.......cos you can't on that version Hendo linked to :(

Ain't played the game personally but from looking at the back of the box it seems so. Either that or the person in the screenshot managed to get every box wrong on a line that was marked with no shading.

Yes, you can. You get a 'X' option that lets you mark where they
definitely aren't any boxes ^_^ I absolutely terrible at this game but I
absolutely love trying! n_n

I bought the DS Essential Sudoku game because it had a whole set of picross puzzles in there too (all for about £13). I suck at them. :D
