Anyone else had any particularly addictive online experiences they got over or are still a part of? I know a lot of people who play Battlefield waay too much.
I quit WoW
I quit WoW
And feel like my life has returned to me again

I spent way too much time playing Phantasy Star Online when it was first released on the dreamcast. I got three characters up to level 100. I used to cancel nights out so I could go online instead - tragic really.
Even when the Gamecube version came out I got one character to level 115 and then gave up.

Exactly the same thing as you Dom as you know. Level 60 rogue who did raids everyday from 6pm-10pm, if not doing raids i would waste the other hours of the day doing quests and other stuff. TBC came and the guild i was in fell apart, it was then that i realised i was in the game because of my friends.
Once it split apart, my account was cancelled and i was free!

I have a friend who did the exact same thing. We both vowed never to sign up to another MMO ever again! They are evil evil things.stoobieuk wrote:I spent way too much time playing Phantasy Star Online when it was first released on the dreamcast. Not true, WoW has an awful PvP system, EVE online and Dark Ages of Camelot probably have the 2 best PvP systems of the MMO's that I've played tbh.Itchigon wrote:I played the beta and it's just WoW with less appealing features, if you've played WoW you've played them all really.ZappyMcZap wrote:Now go buy yourself Lord of the Rings Online
Roll on Warhammer online!
That is true the PvP system is very poor, i was focusing more on the PvE side aspect of kill x many, gather x.EvilNeileeeee wrote:Not true, WoW has an awful PvP system, EVE online and Dark Ages of Camelot probably have the 2 best PvP systems of the MMO's that I've played tbh.Itchigon wrote:I played the beta and it's just WoW with less appealing features, if you've played WoW you've played them all really.ZappyMcZap wrote:Now go buy yourself Lord of the Rings Online

Yup, fellow Wow addict here - level 60 female gnome warlock on Scarshield Legion ()
Was in a heavy RP guild run by my brother and I made so many really good friends. Alas my brother started to get pi$$ed off with the day to day running of the guild and it kind of fell apart - since then more and more friends started logging off for good and I started to lose interest.
My 360 is my new addiction now

I bought a 360 with the money!
But like I say, I won't be touching Warhammer, LOTR or any other game like that again. Soul consuming games.
