I'd agree that it could just be my crapness that's leading me to dislike the assualt rifle. I'll see if I can improve my skills with it.
As regards the any bigger than 4 vs 4 ruining the tactical aspect of it, I'd have to disagree with that.
I can't think of any more tactical than being able to have two fire teams (say, charlie fire team and delta fire team) each of 4 people. One side flanks left, the other right, and within each fire team you can operate 2 advancing, 2 covering. A classic section attack if you will.
Granted, this will require larger maps, but that's what I expect FPS to have after COD2.
One thing I forgot to whinge about was the lack of gameplay types in multiplayer. I thought that was a given?
Gears of War is a bit, meh.
