Sega Saturn

Post by maf-me-quick » Thu Apr 12, 2018 9:22 pm

I have always had a fascination with the Sega Saturn despite owning one but have never played it (It was an eBay purchase like, 10+ years after the fact)

However all the good games on it are super expensive. Also a lot of them are available on the PlayStation. But I want to try the Saturn version

What do you think?

I was tinkering with the idea some years ago -- there was a modded one in Game Focus (RIP), which I missed my chance with, but there aren't really many games I can think of for it that haven't been remade/remastered that I can't more easily/cheaply obtain on other consoles

I wish they'd update Burning Rangers.

Or you could just spend the money on getting yourself a personal trainer.....

I'd say go for it, it's an interesting console. It's true that you can get most of the games on other platforms but the system still has its charms and it has the best picture quality out of the three of that area.

Just get a bundle with five games or so for cheap.

You should do the personal trainer thing.

Or go big or go home and get PZS.

I will probably do both. I’m pretty determined to go sign up at a gym this weekend and play Sega Saturn

Not if I buy all the copies before you do and keep them for myself

Oh no I won’t have to spend £400 on a game I don’t know anything about

It's a great console, I still play on my own the time and whilst I haven't explored it there is a hack now so you can play backups
