green dust.

It's hard, though.
I assume the green dust is health? I haven't unlocked any healer abilities for my party yet, that may be where I'm going wrong

Dude, healing is literally Rabbid Peach's first technique upgrade on her skill tree. i can't see how you can be where you are in the game and not have it.

Shitttttttt, I chose secondary weapons for all my characters rather than the healer stuff...guess that's where I've gone wrong.

Got to switch out rabbid luigi for real luigi for a bit of the old 'overwatch.'

For those who don't know, Luigi is a cold blooded sniper in this. :D The green one's deadly skills allowed me to perfect an escort toad level that i'd previously game overed. Death stare!

The mid level boss in world 2 is a killer. I had Mario and Luigi both out for the count, and rabbid peach on 4hp when she toppled the boss with her last shot.

The game still awarded a 'good' rating for that shady effort.

Had an initial 90 mins with this, and so far it's all pretty great.

:D

The only thing that annoys me (yet again with most games nowadays) is the lack of clarity regarding autosaves when exiting the game - why can't there just be a 'save & exit' option, rather than just relying on remembering when it last did an autosave?

Finished the World 1 area after beating Rabbid Kong albeit only with a 'Good' rating (2/3 party left standing), but it was on my first attempt.

Smashers are a bit annoying and require a different approach too, and Mario's multijump skill is pretty useful for pulling off wacky combos.

Unlocked loads of stuff on completing World 1, especially notable being the pull block ability, now pondering whether it's worth going back through the area again for more exploration before moving on.

It's a fabulous game.

Went back to World 1 and did the first 2 Challenges - albeit I found the 1st 'very easy' challenge far from that (kill 15 Rabbids in 3 turns). It took me a while to realise that the maximise the use of Mario's hammer and Rabbid Luigi's bazooka, coupled with slides and bounces was the way to do it (for me) - but it still came down to the final shot in turn 3.

The 2nd Challenge (escort toad) was much more straightforward but I did have an 'oh sh1t' moment at the end when that row Smashers appeared - fortunately Rabbid Peach lured one out of the line and toad ran through to safety.

Still unsure whether I should be doing these now, or starting on World 2, but it's all fun nevertheless.

I've done the majority of challenge stages in World 1 but do begin to wonder if one or two just aren't feasible with my current line up/skills and I should be tackling them when Im more powerful and just return to them later?

Is that the one with the burn & freeze mini bosses?

Just done that, didn't find it too bad apart from losing one of my team on the first turn, just took the high ground, used a dash to get rid of their shield, then kaboom!

Found a decent tactic to get rid of the smashers too - split party then attack from opposite sides which just had the smashers stuck in limbo running back & forth, and futhermore setting up the 'overwatch' before attacking means that triggers too after your initial attack (as the smasher moves towards you) and help take out a smasher in a turn or so.

Furthermore I've managed a couple of the toad escort missions without killing anything - thought there might have been an extra bonus for that .

You know it's a while since I played it, but that rings a bell. It's a good game, isn't it. A bit slow and methodical for my tastes, though. I think I did about 15 hours, and while meaning to return to it, never did.

Yep, I really like this, and the way that it allows you to experiment with different team members without the XCom fear of permadeath.

I'm pretty much still getting 'perfects' on 80% of the missions with the occasional flaw in my strategy being losing a party member rather than going over time, so I've started playing with rabbid Mario and Luigi to use their vampiric health regains.

I also enjoy the occasional sliding block puzzles which break up the battles too.

Just beat the Icicle Golem at the end of World 2, having now gained a Peach to the party.

Onwards!
