If you had amnesia.........
.......and forgot you had ever played games, what games would you want told to play. For me it would be Zelda OOT, Pilotwings 64, Tomb Raider 2, Pro Evo 3 and Ico. Imagine playing some of these games again for the first time, that would be majestic.
Um.
I think I understand the question, but in case I don't I'll just throw these randomly at you.....
Goldeneye 64
Sonic The Hedgehog (original, not 360 travesty)
Zelda : The Wind Waker
That should do.

That's a good question.
I agree with you about Tomb Raider II, it was always my favourite in the franchise. I also loved the first Medal Of Honour on the PSone - it would be great to play through that for the first time again.
A more recent release though would be Dead Rising. I'm completely blown away by how good this game is and wish I hadn't done almost everything. Still, it's got great reply value in my opinion.

This is an interesting question. However, there are games like Zelda OOT that immediately spring to mind. But when I think about it, would playing that game for the first time in todays market of technological advancements have the same impact. Don't get me wrong, becuase I think it's an amazing game and will always love it. But part of why I love it is becuase it felt so cutting edge at the time I first played it and that, nobody can deny, was part of what made it stand out at the time. I don't believe it would carry the same WOW facter that it did then and if I had forgetten how much I loved games I think something like GOW is what would pull me back in today today. Something with that WOW factor!
On the other hand, OOT carries so much personal depth for me, that the experience of playing again may be the cure for my amnesia anyway, triggering deep rooted feelings of nostalgia that bring all my memories flooding back!

Final fantasy 7. I've actually thought about this question quite a bit
Playing FF7 again for the first time would be great since I was only a kid when I first played it. No doubt I would enjoy it more playing it for the first time now.
Other than that I don't think there is much I would want to get stuck on all over again.

As I wouldn't know what the 'cutting-edge' was, I'd start with the older ones and work my way towards the new, getting blown away by the advancements in technology with each game.
I'd like Vice City to be in there, and Day of the Tentacle, MGS3, Half-Life the original Driver on PSOne. Then top it off with Gears of War.

I'd like to add....
Eternal Darkness (with no-one telling me anything about the game)
Silent Hill (the first one)

As tempting as it is to say FF7,instead i'd have to say Metal Gear Solid for the psone.Great game, brilliant storyline, and lots of bits that had me sit up and think "whoa!". Like the fight with Psycho Mantis where he reads your memory card ("You like Castlevania don't you?").And having to unplug your pad to beat him.Total classic.
I would also suggest Power Stone 2,because seeing it in action for the first time convinced me to get a Dreamcast. An absoluetly amazing game and if Capcom don't do a next-gen version disapointment won't be the word
