It's because your avatar is a gif image and don't have red in it's 256 (or less) color palette.

You spread that christmas spirit killerclaw! Can't help but notice that a lot of the people on that forum refuse to give in to the awesomness that is christmas. I saw a good few without christmas avatars. What would their mothers say?
