Today Media Molecule released a new video of its upcoming creativity-driven game Dreams, that aims to give players a powerful suite of tools to create and share their own games and media.

This video, recorded at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, is particularly interesting because it shows one of the elements of the game that we haven’t seen much of, the ability to create cutscenes while controlling characters like they were very versatile puppets.

With the slow agony of the PS Vita, Sont might be looking to bolster PS4 remote play on smartphones, that is still seen by many as a rather obscure feature due to the limitation (at least officially) to Sony’s own Xperia Models.

Today, Sony Mobile Communications announced XMount, the new generation of mounts designed to attach Xperia smartphones to a DualShock 4 controller. A while ago, Sony launched the GCM10 Game Control Mount, but due to the suction mechanism, it wasn’t exactly the best solution.

The XMount is similar, but it replaces the suction gimmick with a more secure sliding bracket similar to a few third-party options already on the market. Another difference with the previous model is the lack of obstruction for the lightbar that shows the connection status.

Incidentally, the design has been created by MSY, that works with companies like Thrustmaster and Razer. The release window for Japan is June 2018, while no announcement has been made for the west for now.

Compatible Xperia models are the Xperia XZ1, Xperia XZ1 Compact, Xperia XZ Premium, Xperia XZs, Xperia XZ, Xperia X Compact, Xperia X Performance, Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, and Xperia Z5 Premium.

Of course, what would really help the feature take off would be opening it to all brands of smartphones, pretty much like Sony has done with remote play on PC, but unfortunately, nothing has been announced on this front.

In the past few months, Sony has released a few videos and trailers to advertise the remote play feature. It’ll be interesting to see if they’ll expand it further, now that the Vita is on its last leg even in Japan.

Since its introduction in 2015, Sony’s PlayStation Vue joined the trend of alternative cable service providers with a flexible (and affordable) means of accessing cable programming, though subscribers will be seeing a small price hike taking effect starting at the end of the month.

Over on the PlayStation Blog, Sony has announced that a price increase will be taking effect for PlayStation Vue across all of its subscription tiers — Access, Core, Elite, and Ultra — by $5 per month. The change itself will be be implemented starting after July 31st, 2018, with the price increase to take effect with subscribers’ billing statements after that date.

While the price increase was explained by Sony as necessary to “keep pace with rising business costs” and to enable the company to continue providing more of Vue’s services, the increase itself will not impact the current add-ons or standalone channels available through the service, or its current selection of networks and programming.

Currently, PlayStation Vue offers subscribers access to a number of cable channels and networks such as Discovery Channel, AMC, Disney Channel, ESPN, HGTV, The Food Network, and more, while also providing access to premium channels on a standalone basis without the need for a standard cable plan, such as HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, and more.

Sony lost around 300,000 PlayStation Plus subscribers in the quarter ending 30th June, with 33.9 million users maintaining an active membership, compared to 34.2 million earlier in the year. It’s not exactly a significant decrease, but considering one of the company’s primary goals is to retain subs, it won’t be overjoyed with these results.

Of course, there are numerous reasons that could be attributed to the decline. Fortnite, for example, is the biggest multiplayer game in the world right now – and it doesn’t require an active PS Plus membership in order to be played online, unlike on the Xbox One. There’s also the simple fact that less big games deployed in the summer.

We doubt that Sony will be panicking too much unless this becomes a trend, and with Red Dead Redemption 2 right around the corner, alongside new Call of Duty and Battlefield titles, we have a feeling subscriber numbers are going to be rosy going into the holidays. Which is good news for the Japanese giant, because it’s making an absolute fortune off subscriptions.

If you really must play Mafia 3 then get the DLC and play that interspersed with the main story. Otherwise you'll find the main story is the worst of an Ubisoft style 'open world' and gets repetitive very quickly. Oh, and the AI is dumb, stand outside a doorway, whistle, stealth kill, repeat.

Soundtrack is decent though.
