Hi
I'm currently looking at the iPhone customer experience and am trying to get opinions from a wide range of users. I'm sure some people on here have iPhones so it would be great to get some input. The specific questions I'd like to answer are below but if you have any comments in general they would be appreciated too,
- Should iPhone customers be treated any differently from a 'standard' handset user when it comes to Customer Service?
- If you've have been with two or more providers using an iPhone how did they compare? What did they do well and how did you feel about them?
- How do you feel about the iPhone insurance you were offered? Is the price competitive? What would a fair price per month be?
- What's missing from the current experience? How could it be improved?
A Big Thanks to those that are good enough to respond, your input will assist in improving the experience in future

They shouldn't really but it's regarded as a luxury device. Now that it's on all networks and the phone "everyone" wants, offering dedicated customer service is a USP the networks are delivering.
O2 have offered dedicated iPhone support since the first version, so they've stuck with it

I am on O2 but work for vodafone. Customer service with O2 is impeccable in my experience. As for vodafone, I know that they're still getting to grips with iPhone. As for network service, vodafones is marginally better. You're likey to get more reliable coverage in heavy use areas. But a recent of com study showed that they're all the same really

Don't bother with it

iPhone experience or network? In terms of iPhone I suppose it's just the requirement for flash and an even better battery

Yes and No. The iphone contracts are the most pricey so I guess as one of their high end customers then why not? Anyone else think that this is a move motivated by Apple? Make having an iphone just seem the "norm" A psychological trick of sorts.- Should iPhone customers be treated any differently from a 'standard' handset user when it comes to Customer Service?
I pay £5 a month for the insurance to orange and then something like £30 to Apple as an "administrative fee" per claim or something daft like that. In all fairness its been a life saver in the past, they replace the phone the next working day and have never had an qualms with the how and why in regards to it breaking. I'm pretty happy with the service, at £5 its a bargin imo, including the admin cost its still hard to turn your nose up at given how much not having a phone effects your life.- How do you feel about the iPhone insurance you were offered? Is the price competitive? What would a fair price per month be?

If we are specifically looking at the unique features of my Orange iphone contract, then to be honest bar the dedicated customer support team there isn't anything to mention really. Maybe itunes and apps store exclusives or even freebies something like that.
