I know it varies from model to model, just wondering what settings people like to use when playing games... I'm only using a cheap probably poor as piss Nordmende one, but still, it's better than an stdv! When i first got it i didn't have a HDMI cable so i played using RGB for a few days, was really impressed with that, 480p was like another world to compared to what i'd been used to. Picked up a HDMI cable today and on first impressions was shocked - the picture at 1080p looked dreadfully dull compared to RGB. Had a quick search online and the first thing that came up was doing the Pixar calibration thingy, so i did that using my copy of Wall-E. That improved things massively. Also changed some setting on the dash up to extended, i think it was colour range or something. People keep mentioning 0-255 but i'm not sure what that means...
I'm quite happy with it now, just wondering what settings people like to use. My own are contrast 53, brightness 43, sharpness 8 and colour 40, i guess the significance of this varies hugely from tv to tv though. What about colour temperature - normal, cool or warm? Personally i don't like cool at all, not sure between normal and warm...
My only other query is that i can't notice any difference between 720p and 1080p, although i've only been comparing the one tiny section of the game (FFXIII) . Probably down to the fact that it's cheap! Oh and only 26".

Re: 360 HD settings?
No games on 360 that run in 1080p? Maybe Mika should answer that.
There is defo a difference on the PS3 games that run at 1080p, WipeoutHD stays crisp even on the fastest tracks, the detail never ever drops. It is amazing.

Not even Wipeout HD stays in full 1080p mode all the time:

Sound thanks for the advice yeah i think i'll just stick with 720p, i like it at that and there's something kind of iffy about 1080p, maybe it's my imagination!
