i'm the opposite to you guys. people can release the biggest games and as many games as they want right now. as soon as i get my hands on this, every game that isn't this can go on hold. nothing will interrupt SMG2 for me.

A friend of mine at work with unscrupulous morals and an internet connection from the future decided to put SMG2 on a disk and give it to me today.

THE FOOL. I HAD A CHOICE BEFORE BECAUSE I WASN'T GOING TO BUY IT. NOW I HAVE TO, BECAUSE MY CONSCIENCE WILL NAG ME UNTIL I DO.

Both GTM and IGN gave 10/10...Face it even on an "inferior" console, Nintendo is STILL king compared to its "HD & all the trimmings" rivals.

Graphics have never been top of the "deal-breakers" for games, at least for me. Far more important from the aesthetic angle is finding the graphical style that fits your game's design best and applying it in a consistently attractive manner. Nintendo have always been really, good at this and have always combined it with superlative gameplay/level design, which is why they're still making games that reach the top of the ratings board despite having less powerful machines to work with.

Good examples of this are Team Fortress 2, Okami, Kirby's Dreamland 3 and Yoshi's Island. My favourite PS1 game was Vib-Ribbon, or crying out loud. That probably says a lot about me.

Who cares what IGN gave it... they'd give a wet fart 8.5/10. In my opinion it's far more important that gTM, Eurogamer, Edge and GiantBomb gave SMG2 absolutely top marks.

Mario Galaxy is the best game this gen and maybe the best of all time.
