Getting your games back
Getting your games back
As I've recently discovered the virtual console store and all the gamey goodness is has to offer as well as the likes of the PS3 online store, if I download some games and then need to delete them to download some more after will I ever be able to get them back again by re-downloading, do I have to buy them all over again or is it some memory card thingy instead? Bit of a simple question I'm guessing but I'm not very technical. I just switch the thing on and expect it to play something

Re: Getting your games back
All your DLC is stored for the PS3. All you need to do is go into 'My Downloads' in the top right of the PS Store and it's all stored there ready to use when you need it. I'm assuming it's all tied in with your ISP number though, so don't move house.

Oh right that's pretty handy. Always worried about downloading things only to lose them if I run out of space. Would be a bloody pain if the ISP thing is true though as I plan on moving in with the bf in the next year or so
Same goes for the wii too with the download storage?

I don't think the IP Address has anything to do with it. Your account can be 'activated' on up to 5 different PS3's. When you log into the PSN I assume it makes a check of the unique console ID and compares it to the consoles tied to your account. If it's one of the five then you can download and play games that have been bought with that account. The+Deleted wrote:All your DLC is stored for the PS3. Hope that makes sense, I am knackered.

Re: Getting your games back
As far as I can tell, the Virtual Console is linked to your unique console code. Your Wii Shop Channel can also be linked to your Club Nintendo account using the same login details. On teh VC, there should be a screen which shows everything you've already downloaded and each item is marked as thus in grey. I would imagine that even if you delete the games from your console, you can just return back to this screen at any time and re-download anything you've previously purchased. That's my assumption at least

Not the case as not everybody has a static ip, its stored under your PSN username same as the Xbox's so it will be in your purchase history. The+Deleted wrote:I'm assuming it's all tied in with your ISP number though, so don't move house.

Thanks alot for the answers
Won't have a fear of downloading anything anymore.
Managed to find out the wii bit from what you said Gemini as I couldn't think of the right way to find it out before and like you said the games are unique to your console although if your wii breaks and you contact nintendo with the serial number or console email name, they will put the new games on your new console for you hopefully. Just some info for anyone that didn't know
