How to upload Wii Guitar Hero scores to ScoreHero.com?

Post by Gemini-Phoenix » Mon Feb 22, 2010 8:59 am

Back when Guitar Hero first came out for the PS2 in 2005, I set up a ScoreHero account. It was crude, and you had to enter the information manually, but it was well worth the effort. When Guitar Hero II was released, one new feature for the X360 version was that the scores would get uploaded automatically (Somehow), whereas the PS2 version remained a manual process. The franchise then becamse multi-platform with the release of Guitar Hero III, and I imagine the PS3 and Wii versions also have the facility to automatically upload scores to the ScoreHero website...?

The question is, how do you go about setting up the Guitar Hero games to do this on the Wii versions (Guitar Hero III onwards) - If it is even possible to do this? I have seen many Wii scores uploaded on the site, and find it hard to believe that they have been manually uploaded like the PS2 scores. How do I link these games to my ScoreHero account?

Also, if it is actually possible, will it upload the scores I have actually already achieved? Or will it only upload scores achieved after the account is linked to the game?

I think that they are, unfortunately, manually added, although I've not used Scorehero in ages. Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo all have different rules about what sort of game data can be shared to external sites. It's why Raptr can only automatically show how much time you've spent playing 360 and PC/Mac games, everything else needs to be manual.

But having said that, I'm not even sure that Scorehero automatically does 360 versions. I can't find anything about that on the main site. But as I say, I've not used it for a long while so I might've missed something :)
