have I damaged my PS3
have I damaged my PS3
I fired up my PS3 after a tough and tiring day at work, whilst it was installing assassins creed, I decided to switch off the bedroom lamp, but instead I switched off my ps, after switching it back on when I went to reload it said data corrupt, so I deleted the file and reinstalled creed, but I didnt know creed was set in the future, and got bit panicky during the intro with the fake effects of the game, but when I switched on my ps next morning my background colour was a pale yellow although I hadnt changed it from original, all the other colours are ok though, not to bothered about damaging hard drive as I can get a new one, its the PS3 I worried about

Are you talking about the start up menu? because that changes colour monthly if you have it set to do that. I'm pretty sure mine went from white to yellow recently.

Re: have I damaged my PS3
it changed to yellow quite a while ago...possibly after the last major system update
Re: have I damaged my PS3
Does it change monthly?! I just though it was a bit random.
Although it always seems to be a brighter colour on weekends!

Depends what time of day you go on. If you go in daylight hours it is bright, at night it is dark.

Re: have I damaged my PS3
Now another month has passed I actually think that the colours merge into each other as the month passes. At the start of February it was clearly yellow, but as time went on it got more and more green until March arrived. I'm not 100% sure, but over the next month the green or March should blend into the pink of April. It's a nice touch if it does work like that.

It didn't just switch to green though, it blended in from the yellow, I am sure of it because I had a long ass conversation over whether the colour on the XMB was yellow or green. Should be interesting (and by that I mean not) to see if the pink bleeds into the green over the coming weeks.

Re: have I damaged my PS3
I just thought it reflected the time of day.
At 7/8pm it's purple and by 10pm it's very dark.
Early morning it's orange then yellowy.
