360 data migration

Post by therealjaxon » Fri Nov 13, 2009 4:07 pm

This has been asked before but i'm too lazy to look it up
Can i recover my gamertag so it is present on both my 120gb and 250gb HD's?
If i decide to transfer data onto the new HD, can i select what is transferred?
Finally, is there any danger of losing data? Any horror stories?
Thanks for any given help

Sorry, this probably is'nt going to be much use to you.... I'm guessing you could recover your gamertag onto as many harddrives as you like, i cant see why not.

As for your data transfer, i've only gone from a 20 gig upto a 120gig and it didnt give me a choice of what was moved, it did the lot. As for loosing data, i had a message when the transfer was done that some files were corrupted and couldnt be transfered.... to this day i dont know what those files were (so they could'nt have been that importent).

According to this you have to pay £9.70 for the transfer cable now which is a bit rubbish. My new Elite arrived today, anyone fancy sending me a cable if you have one? I'll cover the postage to me and back again.
