For the past couple of years, EA has been using their sports games (FIFA, NBA and NFL) to play and predict the winners of the various big games. This year they ran the New Orleans Saints against the Indianapolis Colts through Madden NFL 10 to come up with the winner of Madden Bowl 10, possibly pointing toward the real conclusion when the two teams meet on the field February 7th (this Sunday!)
In this year's Madden Bowl the Saints beat the Colts in close game - 35-31.
EA has a decent track record if you look at last years Madden Bowl where the Steelers beat the Cardinals 28-24; in Super Bowl XLIII the Steelers beat the Cardinals 27-23. That's pretty damn close if you ask me.
I'm not sure how much stock I would put in this but it's a safe bet that EA aren't the only ones playing the game with these two right now in their living rooms.

I just love the way EA patch Madden, the next patch is Madden 11 then 12...guess you can see where I'm going with thisKiller_Carp wrote: For the past couple of years, EA has been using their sports games (FIFA, NBA and NFL) to play and predict the winners of the various big games. Well I don't mind the 35-31 score line. I feel that the Saints secondary (which has some large holes) will not be up to the job of stopping Peyton and co unfortunately

Really enjoyed the Super Bowl, me and a friend watched it and ate pizza. Tight, right up until that interception towards the end. Think the Colts might have done it had that not happened. Very entertaining altogether though, think I'm going to watch some more matches this year when the season starts up again

Yeah i enjoyed this year's more than the 2009 superbowl.
Re: The American Football Thread
I did that too (but with my wife, not your friend)Rotek wrote:Really enjoyed the Super Bowl, me and a friend watched it and ate pizza. Tight, right up until that interception towards the end. It was ace, I never thought the Saints were going to win until the interception that sealed it. I was getting ready for O.T. but as I'd already drank 8 beers and 5 double vodkas I'm glad it ended when it did!
Re: The American Football Thread
Really happy with the result and how the Saints D contained the Colts, but now got no NFL to watch till Sept
Oh well at least I play, so got games and tournaments to look forward to

The Rock Band download of the song(s) sounds much better, to their credit, although as they were recorded 'as live' I suppose there could've been a bit of touching up done. I personally thought they started off terrible, but by the time they'd hit the end of the second bit (can't remember what song it is off the top of my head, could be Who Are You or maybe whatever was before that) they'd evened out.
Re: The American Football Thread
Thought it was a cracking game, really tense for the most part with it being so close. I also won some money thanks to the Saints so yeah it was a pretty good Superbowl all round.

Yeah I saw this as it happened. Now I admit he is a quality player, even if Eagles fans love to hate him...but at 33 not really sure this is a good move with the draft picks we give up for him. Maybe the Skins are going back to the 70's over the hill gang they had under George AllenKiller_Carp wrote:Awesome!!! McNabb was traded to the Redskins.

I found this down in the comments section of the video "I wonder if he screamed like a little girl as he was throwing the ball away!!!"
Anyways, NFL regular season nears. Anybody doing a fantasy league or going to the wimbledon game?
