How would you survive a zombie outbreak?

Post by artfist » Tue Sep 08, 2009 7:05 am

For the next issue of Art Fist I would like to know how you would survive a zombie outbreak.
Send responses to artfist@live.com - the best ones will be included in a feature on zombies (full credit will obviously be given).
We are also looking for any horror/gothic/zombie articles/stories/reviews. Art Fist is a free magazine distributed for free in Leeds and online.

I would move to Antarctica and speed up global warming. I sure zombies hate global warming.

Too squishy. And they always make you pay for the cinema tickets.

Zombies are cheap basterds. Always wanting to split the dinner bill.

I would make sure I could fly a chopper, meet up with my girlfriend and her SWAT team mates, fly to and take over an abandoned mall, barricade the doors with trucks, then sit back and pray no Hells Angels turn up to spoil it all.

Was bored at school today, so in computing i decided to search up Zombies on Amazon.co.uk (i work very hard i do) and found this:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pride-Prejudice ... 944&sr=8-6

The novel Pride and Prejudice, with some Zombies thrown into the mix!

On the case of a zombie outbreak, i would grab some kitchen knifes, my golf clubs and any object i could find in the house to smash/stab/implode heads with. Then i would run outside and nick the nearest land rover, or fast car. Then i would head to tesco's and steal as much stuff as possible and fill the boot. Meeting up with Megan Fox would be next on my agenda list, And we will flee to the countryside and hide somewhere... then i shall begin repopulating the earth with her. :P

I will review and rate each submission in an effort to educate people and maximise our survival.

Download the latest issue from www.artfist.co.uk

As for the Walking Dead, it is perhaps one of the most realistic stories about zombies, we have also been sent a review of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies for the issue/

I still say move to Antarctica and speed up global warming. There pale zombie flesh would get horrible sun burn.

http://www.asylum.com/2009/08/18/scienc ... ll-us-all/

In more bad news for the living today, scientists have determined that humanity would almost certainly perish in the (probably still unlikely) event of a zombie outbreak.

Using probability to demonstrate what us "Walking Dead" fans have known for years, a team in Canada has shown that a zombie-like infection -- one that quickly killed its victims and then returned them to life in order to feast on the living -- would spell almost certain doom for us all.

Among the issues faced by humanity would be the exponential increase in new zombies created after each human dies, and the sudden shutdown of vital services and resources.

The University of Ottawa researchers who worked on the study assumed that the zombies were the classic, slow-moving type seen in the original George A. Romero films, and not the heretical and far-more-deadly ultra-fast zombies as seen in films like "28 Days Later."

Even so, their analysis revealed that any attempt to cure or capture the Shuffling Horde would only put off the inevitable. All the more reason to lay back and submit to hot zombie babes.
