What about these bundles from Game.co.uk - you said you weren't bothered about bundles but i think these are good deals since the games are great - don't know what your delivery cost would be though until you go to the checkout

Xbox 360 Elite Pack with Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 and Midnight Club LA
£259.99

Xbox 360 Elite with Far Cry 2 (Xbox 360) £239.99

Xbox 360 Elite Pack with Fable 2 (Xbox 360) £239.99

Xbox 360 Elite Pack with Fable 2 and Fallout 3 (Xbox 360) £249.99

Apart from the colour, 60 gb and HDMI cable - they are the same. Check out this link for further info:

The HDMI cable is approx 2 metres long.

Hope that helps :D

I too wondered what would become of the Elite now the new Premium has a 60GB hard drive and HDMI. You would've thought that Microsoft would up the specs of the Elite accordingly to still qualify it for the extra cost

I would expect no less than 120 GB for the Elite in this day and age, especially as Microsoft have announced that there won't be another X360 price drop for a considerable period of time. It seems a bit of a rip-off now to simply buy an Elite for the sake of having a console that won't fade to a horrible colour in a few years time... I am surprised that retailers haven't dropped the price of the Elite to match that of the same spec Premium's - I would imagine that many are bundling a free game and extra official controller with it to make up the difference in price

I think my Elite hard drive started out with 95 gb when new. There is always a certain amount of memory reserved with any storage device - i think it is on a percentage basis so i guess a 60 gb would end up being 47ish gb.

Shocked at you only getting 95 gb on the elite.

I have the 60gb 360. I started out with 48gb available. Its seems the bigger the HDD you go for the more space you actually lose (as a percentage)

I want HDD manufacturers to start stating what is actually available to the user.

Percentage wise don't they both clock in at around 80% of the space if available...? So they're pretty much the same...

The 120GB HDD is 107GB. It's pre-loaded with 12GB of content.

I know, worked it out in bed last that Id screwed up there, I just meant that you seem to lose more the bigger HDD you get as 20% of 100 is more than 20% of 60 so it just feels like you lose more.

So with 20% being a 5th does that mean if I go out and buy a 200gb hdd I'll only get 160gb? shouldnt this be advertised?

Who's wrong though? The HDD manufacturers who counts 1000 as a kilo or PC/OS creators that counts 1024 as a kilo?

If you go instore you can get an XBOX elite + fable 2 for £229.99. If you dont want fable 2 you can get fallout 3, midnight club or another one which I cant remember for the same price

no (and do you really need 3 metres?) there isn't (although there can be on much longer cables)....well not in picture quality anyway. yes some cables seem to look prettier or more industrial strength...but an el cheapo will deliver the same image. It's not like analogue cables where better shielding and contacts are important.

i have two different cheapos from amazon. both were under a tenner and both work perfectly (2m length i think...maybe one was 1.5m)

this one will be just the ticket
