Remember that we're talking in terms of particles colliding here - and they are absolutely tiny. There's only so much mass being collided and the type of black holes created would be almost indescribably small - and they wouldn't exist very long - they would "evaporate" almost instantly

Lol love the tiny maybe at the end. All of Hawkins work is based on theory though so if one of his calculations is wrong then a major Catastrophe maybe? Many scientists around the globe do think he is talking crap. Thing is though eventually the machine will be turned on and used at some point so I better get my hard had on and wait for it to happen. *runs off to dig a black hole proof shelter*

Oh, scientists don't think Hawking radiation is rubbish, some of his newer stuff perhaps. :wink:
