So downloaded Tornadus in Pokemon Ultra Moon. I’m guessing you get Thunderus for Pokemon Sun or Ultra Sun which I don’t own and sucks because that’s the better Pokemon of the two.

Anyway, putting it on briefly I fell straight in to the hole and started really enjoying the game again. It’s just a really beautiful game to look at, even on the 3DS. I played for a couple of hours and are going to enter the first island challenge. A lot of this game is exactly the same as Pokemon Not Ultra Moon at this point with some minor differences. The real big one is you just get more of a variety of Pokemon at the start of the game. I would argue too many, actually.

But yeah this game is still cool and I will still play more of it

You know which Pokémon-like title on 3DS is also good to look at? Monster Hunter Stories.

If you want proper motivation to play it just watch How to train your Dragon which is pretty much the movie version of that game.

Oh, my god Pokemon Ultra Moon is so awesome except for the ways in which it’s not. I’ve just done the water trial. Frame rate was much better this time around. Although I’m really feeling where Ikve spread my self thin training too many different Pokemon. But they’re all so cool and I want to use them all.

It’s a shame there is so much getting in the way of the core of the game because everyone always says “I want the 3D Pokemon game”. Well this is pretty much it. But it’s only a good casual Pokemon game because all the stuff you would want for it to be a long term thing. Like say Pokemon X/Y that I played for 500 hours. This game just doesn’t have that. But as a casual play, just go through the story and enjoy using all the cool Pokemon on offer, it’s really, really great for that

Nope, haven't been following Pokémon news since about a month after S/M came out. As you said the games had a nice solo story but I never felt the urge to continue playing them after the credits rolled.

WAIT

You can legit catch Celebi in the VC version of Pokemon Crystal

https://youtu.be/Pye8e4bYgug

Also Mew can be glitched in Pokemon R/B/Y so technically, all 251 Pokemon are catchable in these versions of the games

Hmm...

If you're glitching Mew you need to know that there's a weird way those RBY games generate ids for the pokemon to the point that the glitch people generally use generates an invalid ID which gets caught by the poke bank. So you cant import it

However there is another glitch which makes a 'valid' Mew https://www.polygon.com/2017/1/26/14400 ... mew-glitch

So it started to come together accidentally, but I thought as I’m playing Ultra Moon I should have a night themed team. So far I have this
