Sir Arthur C. Clarke has died

I don't have many heroes, but he was one of them. I am honestly heartbroken. I can't begin to describe the impact this man's work has had on both me personally, and the world in general. A brilliant writer, thinker, visionary and a true prophet of our time. The world is a substantially lesser place for his loss.

RIP Sir Arthur

I've only read the 2001: Space Odyssey screenplay. It truly was a fantastic piece of Science Fiction, unlike anything I've ever read.

A great shame. I think the sum total of items I've read by him is a couple of short stories and about half of Rama. Still, he was a great influence upon many a sci-fi writer, and for that I will miss him. R.I.P.

So many have left us this year already

Looks like we have two threads on this....Mod Police?!?

Really shocking news though, I know he was old even when I was a kid but the man was a great story teller and presenter.
a computer once beat me at chess but it was no match for me at kickboxing
