What new mobile should I get?
My moile handset is up for renewal and I have been wondering what new handset to replace it with. Ive been looking at the N81 8Gg and N95 8Gg (not sure if realsed yet). These both look like great phones with all of the gameing capabilities of the ngage being reintroduced. There is also the N82 but I'm not sure of the exact specs of this phone. Has anyone got any further info or opinions. Looks like the N series is going to be the way forward if you want mobile gaming.
I'll assume thats one of the contracts where they throw in the ps3 for free but you've got to go a long contract like 18mths?AC-AA-1806 wrote:Not sure what its like as a gaming device but I know of someone whos just got a Nokia 5310 on contract with a PS3 (not sure which model though) think he's paying £50 a month with the rest of the normal gubbins that come with these contracts

Probably yeah, to be honest he needed the phone anyway and the actual package suited his needs, the PS3 was just an added bonus from what he says.Riamfada wrote:I'll assume thats one of the contracts where they throw in the ps3 for free but you've got to go a long contract like 18mths?AC-AA-1806 wrote:Not sure what its like as a gaming device but I know of someone whos just got a Nokia 5310 on contract with a PS3 (not sure which model though) think he's paying £50 a month with the rest of the normal gubbins that come with these contracts

I have a Sony Ericsson K850i that's pretty nice. 5 megapixel Cyber-shot, touch buttons, motion sensing, and the Sony Ericsson quality. It takes the Sony M2 memory cards, and also accepts microSD. It has a Marble Blast / Kororinpa style game that can be controlled by tilting the phone.
I went in to Phones 4 U and they bought me out of my 3 contract by giving me £75 cashback. I'm on the Orange Dolphin tariff, which is 500 cross-network mins and unlimited texts for £35 a month/18 months. I called Orange and for an extra tenner I have combined my Orange home broadband into the cost and now get unlimited free landline, orange mobile, and international calls at all times when I plug a phone into my router! So I've bought a new home phone and we use that all the time, saving around 15-20 quid on calls we used to make with BT. Unlimted downloads and 8meg connection, too.
Portable gaming wise, my GBmicro with my full GBA collection is always in my pocket. Phones will never be that good.
That and my DS Lite and PSP Slim, but they don't fit in your pocket quite as easily.

Take your point if you want portable gaming then buy a device specifically for that.RetroEd wrote:I have a Sony Ericsson K850i that's pretty nice. 5 megapixel Cyber-shot, touch buttons, motion sensing, and the Sony Ericsson quality. the mda compact 3 and vario 2 are awesome smartphones, much better than the overhyped I-phone (i'm typing this on mine now) I have t e compact 3 which as the name suggests is very neat and stylish for a smartphone. mine is on t-mobile on flex-t with web&walk I get unlimited internet and £180 a month of credit on whatever I want (no text or minute set limits) for under £50 a month. you can get the phones elsewhere under other names (i think hdc possibly somewhere) you'll need a decent microSD to go with it and the camera on the compact 3 is only 2.0 but other than that they're amazing.
N95 all the way- its the smartest smart phones out there- does everything
if your not familiar with the spec then check out the Nokia website and also online reviews.
I've had mine since day 1 back in March and its never let me down yet- its incredible what they've packed into this phone.
