I just got a copy of it, that's great stuff. The way he shouts "stop it stop it! I don't like it" sounds like he's ready to crawl back into his bed in the asylum. That's one to stick on in the morning to get ready to face the world.
I'm going for this on eBay on the strength of that post!

It won't let me have it for some reason.

It's been a while since I've got an album 'just 'cus', to be honest.

I'D have a look on MySpace, but the album came out in '66!

Buy it on a whim!

My favourite track has got to be That's My Girl. The backing vocals are the sleaziest thing committed to record. And you've gotta love the twist at the end;

Hey, fella,
What you doin' with that girl over there?
Well, that's a nice girl you got,
She sure looks good.
I bet you're gonna make love with her, huh?
Aren'tcha?
Yeah, that's a nice girl you got,
Hawwww!
Well, I bet you are gonna make love with her.
Well, that's a good lookin' girl you got fella!
Hey, haven't I seen her somewhere before?
She sure looks familiar,
I can't . . . uh . . . let me see, uh . . .
That's a nice girl!
Wait, that . . . that's my girl you got!
You can't have my girl!
That's my girl!
Nobody can have my girl, she's my girl!
Aw, you quit that! No!

Totally nuts.

I found it here, number 6 on a pretty good list-

http://therisingstorm.net/top-ten-redis ... s-of-2007/

Plus it's got Lee and Nancy doing Some Velvet Morning a little bit further down the page. A win-win situation.

Stuck in a bit of a music funk again :( Trying to find new bands to get into, I get this way every 2 months or so and I end up turning to allmusic.com or amazon for help with there if you like this then you'll like this section, problem is nearly everything they were giving me I already had or was just some random pish. I did get some good ones though:-

Sunset Rubdown - Random Spirit Lover
The singer from Wolf Parades other, other, other band. They're just like WP, if WP only had a guy that sings and plays piano and some other guy on guitar.

Menomena - Friend And Foe
Yay more breathy indie music, like I don't enough of that already  Still very much a ace face band with a name that store clerks give you a funneh look when you ask them if they have it, and they don't have it, and they think you are taking pissy, but you're not. It's just you asked if they had, "Manomena", not, "Menomena". The "a", makes all the differ

MGMT - Oracular Spectacular
Kinda like if Shy Child, David Bowie and The Polyphonic Spree did the dirty and 9 months later this little kiddy winkle sprang out, and 17 years from then that wee kiddy winkle got all older and stuff and went to art school and formed a band and sounded like this.

Low - Trust
A bit pish. Music that makes you want to go all       face

Hercules And Love Affair - Hercules And Love Affair
Disco/electroclash/acid house music or whatever the quote says on the cover. They have that Antony guy, who I hate, singing on most of the tracks. Now I love him and his everly so fragile vocals. When ever I'm walking about town with this on me iPod I keep thinking I'm going to go all Peter Parker in Spiderman 3, and strut, I just feel my arms start to swing and I know I'm just one pivot and heel spin away from a full on dance number. This will be in my Top 5 albums of 2008.

Foals - Antidotes
Hey, why isn't this as good as I thought it was going to be  Oh yeah, HYPE. Still and good album and The French Open is one of the best opening tracks since Careful off of The Warning.

Laura Marling - Alas, I Cannot Swim
I need something to fill the gap that Regina Spektor left when she went all shite and stuff. A 35min album with 12 good mins on it.

I still need more music :( As always I'm open for people with similar tastes to give me a pokey in the right direction, here's looking at you Mr Aidanon

That's it!

I saw them in December, possibly my favourite gig from last year.
