I heard the term today "information hygiene" in the context of not reading too much news and social media and just being generally less neurotic about that type of stuff.

It's a nice term, I like it.

It took me about 5 episodes of GLOW, and a Wiki search, before I realised that 'Britannia" was being played by the same Kate Nash who had a no 2 hit in 2007 called Foundations, and a no 1 album Made of Bricks in the same year.

Guess the music business hasn't given her too much love recently so she quite literally jumped into acting.
Was that her in GLOW? Jesus!

I recently learned if you stream games you are probaly a racist/cunt.

There's already a significant use of drones being used in the UK to deliver banned substances over prison walls, or direct to cell windows.

The Sperm Whale is so named because when whalers extracted the oil from their heads (spermacetti, the substance once used to make candles and other stuff) they thought that it was whale cum. The name stuck.

What I want to know is why they thought whales cummed out of their heads. Also why did they use what they thought was cum for consumer products.

Fuking hell imagine reading something that has 32 chapters. I could never do that.

Some of the chapters are less than a single page, it's not so crazy really. I like it like that, makes it a perfect commute book whereas Dune was just confusing to read broken up like that.

Tho this chapter all about breaking down different classifications of whales or way longer than any other so far for some reason .

You don't need to read books nowadays - just go to the Wikipedia page and read the 'Plot' section

Better yet, get a text-to-speech browser add-on to read it out to you.

Moby Dick barely has plot. Close to being plotless. Lots of books are like that (I know you're taking the piss and all but just saying)

Here's your plot summary so far.

"Call me Ishmael. I love the sea. It's where I wanna be. I want to go out and be a whaler cause that's a manly thing to do. I meet a cannibal and become bed buddies with him. I go on ship called Pequod and meet Captain Ahab who is a bit broken inside.

Now let me tell you all about whale sperm"

That's ~160 pages or so of plot so far.

Yeah, I have found that quite a few classic books are like that. 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea immediately springs to mind - a pretty long book where very little actually happens. Most of the appeal comes from the crazy notion of a vessel that can travel underwater.

It's not a complaint really. I'm never going to be a sailor or whaler, so happy to learn about stuff I will likely not experience.

Also something of the weather right now is good for reading a book like this next to the water with boats passing :)

The word 'kakocracy' was trending recently when a former CIA head used it to describe Trump's admin.

It means government by the worst people.

But looking at the root of the word it comes from two Greek words.

Kakistos, which means worst
And Kratos, which means rule :o

Trump is worst Kratos

In America one thing they have to worry about are ticks cause they can attach to your ballsack and bite and suck and give you diseases. I'm glad I don't live there.
