A Scanner Darkly - interesting way of filming (felt like I was watching XIII at times) but not as good as I hoped it would be.

You should try Waking Life. Same director and it's also 'rotoshopped', really really interesting film.

Watched Big Trouble in Little China on Sky Cinema the other night.

Forgotten how awesome it is. A modern classic.

Absolutely, I know it's actually very, very bad, whenever I watch it I always love it.

It's so cheesey and I think it harks beack to a more innocent time, when you could have a completely 1 dimensional male hero (who is not in the least bit metro, given to introspection or in any way in touch with his femanine side), loads of stereotypical chinese characters, two hot ladies needing to be rescued and a super camp bad guy and get away with it.

WHat about that giuy that gets so angry he explodes, genius power move!

The last film I watched was Brotherhood of the Wolf, it's still a good film, but I didn't like it as much as when I first watched it. It seemed over long and the action scenes seemed a bit naff second time round. Also the CGI has aged very badly.

I remember the great old films.
Disney hasnt had a good franchise out since Aladin and Beauty and the Beast. Theyre on about Lion King 6 now and they used the shoddyest animation ever. Its like watching Pokemon. Pixar have made great movies but lets see how long that last now that John Lasseter has left.
Beauty and the beast is still my all time fave film!

We are just sticking to the old disney stuff and im not to bothered about the new ones released as they are all cash ins on the originals and shitely done as well as there is no effort with the story and some of the voices are so crapply done!Makes me want to scream! However i have many happy memories of my childhood that involve disney

Saw Babel recently which was way too self-indulgent and pleased with itself. After the first hour you've pretty much seen it all, and the film is more or less a hollow experience, ultimately meaningless.

And normally I like that kind of thing (self-indulgent meaningless films), so imagine my horror when I saw Music & Lyrics with Hugh Grant (not actually with him, like on a date or something, he's just in the film...) and really liked it a lot. Almost enough to say I looooved it. Grant plays a washed up 80s music star, more Andrew Ridgely than George Michael. As usual he just plays Hugh Grant but he's got it down to a fine art. Good stuff all round. And the 80s music video they use at the start is nothing short of genius. Really.

Emporer's New Groove was ace. Yzma is possibly one of my fave Disney baddies.

Been watching the Saw franchise over the past few nights. Started watching Saw 3 yesterday and it's a cracking good flick. I'll reserve final judgement until I've finished watching it though.

Hellboy, meh, to much like the books rather than the comics. Emporer's New Groove is a brillo Disney film :D

Watched a couple at the weekend.

Blade 3 Silly but still entertaining.

Clerks 2 Classic! Really funny and surprisingly warm hearted film. And I think I'm in love with Rosario Dawson.

Watched Final Destination 3 last night. Awful sequel, the first 2 were good though.

Really? I loved Clerks but I found Clerks 2 to be a horrible film... that moment when Dante is driving and sees the little girl in the window of the restaurant... thank christ for the popcorn bucket so i could throw up without messing up my clothes.

Rosario Dawson was the only good thing about it, and I felt bad for her having to deal with such sub-standard material.

Last film now was The Conversation. Pretty boring, just like Enemy of the State without action. Or a pulse.

Harley Quinn Smith. Silent Bobs wee lass.

Oddly enough Clerks 2 was my last DVD film watch as well. Loved it. The look on my wifes face during the Donkey Show bit was priceless.
