Not me - there's no point. There were 120 spam posts between 9:30AM - 12:00PM. Can't keep up...

I do appreciate it's Christmas and everything but the forum has turned into a big joke. I'm sure Volstar and Hendo are doing everything they can but that's not the answer. Only the mighty Haggar could probably cope with this crap seeing as he's here 24/7, so come on folks make Mike an uber-mod NOW!!!

Surely even Mods can take Boxing Day off?

And the admins should add some better protections anyway so the mods don't have to do as much spam post deletion...

Lord help us. I've got the time to help out delete spam threads for two weeks or so, It's gonna need loads of help.

May I reccomend that anyone who has access to the relevant files/ftp server, take a look at some of these:

these things usually have a step by step installation guide and all you need to do is find the correct files, swap what ever needs changing and upload to the correct place and you're sorted. All you really need to be able to do is use an ftp client, notepad and be able to read!

Another suggestion is putting in a time-limit for posting, i.e. can only post once every 30 seconds or something

I'm sure members would prefer that than having to sift through threads where a discussion was taking place only to find it full of spam where the forum was flooded.

I you've had over 200 spam messages over the weekend, this is a real big problem.

i can't believe it these idiots are at it still, everything clears up and they come back. NOBODY IS GOING TO CLICK YOUR STUPID LINKS.

Maybe it is time we got a few more moderators. Won't stop them registering but can't be a bad thing in the long run.

I seem to remember another member showing interest, an american chap, wonder if he's still interested.

Is all the spam slowing the forum down, I don't remember it being so bad before all the spam started. Some times the page won't even load now.

its really slow for me some times but i just thought it was my pc and connection.

Yeah, I've noticed it too. Sometimes pages refuse to load or it comes up an error message.

I was thinking the same but the other forums I post at are all fine. This place has always had a habit of not working sometimes but it is getting more frequent.
