Hacked ?

Afternoon all
Bit of a strange one here...
I was happily using the internet for my usual fix of dog on horse on car porn when I decided to check my emails (googlemail). It asked me to sign in as there was suspicious activity. It asked for my mobile number to send me a pin (which I done reluctantly). After it asked to change my password I logged in to find "I" had sent spam emails to everyone in contacts list. I knew this as some of them couldn't be delivered.
I check the recent activity page and it said someone from Belgium had been on my emails from a mobile web browser. I clicked the "log all sessions out" and deleted the emails.
I've done some spyware scans etc and nothing has been found.
At this present moment in time I'm slightly worried more stuff is going to happen but a search has advised that they might be dummy spam emails. I don't know though. Is there anything to be worried about ? Whats the best course of action to stop this happening again? I'm usually very safe when browsing the web, not clicking on dodgy links or giving email address out to random sites unless I trust them.
Any info would be nice. Thanks y'all !!
