Gift Retailer Launches The Perfect Gift – A Puppy that Never Ages Ross-on-Wye, United Kingdom - 1st April, 2010 – Online gift retailer
ShinyShack is set to take the online retail arena by storm with the sale of Perpetual Puppies, a concept enabling customers to purchase a three-month old puppy with an option of replacement when the puppy reaches nine months of age. Customers currently have the choice between three different breeds; the Chocolate Labrador, the Basset Hound and the Yorkshire Terrier, with the selected option being shipped directly to the purchaser from puppy
factories located across the United Kingdom. ShinyShack, who are the leading website for unusual gifts, report that
initial pre-order levels have exceeded all expectations, and are currently planning on expanding the breed range to include the Golden Retriever,
Great Dane, Miniature Dachshund, the Shih Tzu and the Pug. “The real attraction of the Perpetual Puppy is that once the dog becomes
too large, it can easily be replaced with another easily-manageable puppy.
We believe this will help to lower the numbers of unwanted dogs in society due to people losing interest in their dogs, or due to an inability to handle the commitment that larger dogs require,” said ShinyShack managing
director Tamer Shafik. “ Everybody loves a puppy, and it is our intention to become the UK
market leaders in this area. Feedback from our existing customers has been very positive and we are also considering alternative gift ideas for future expansion, including kittens and piglets,” Shafik added. Perpetual Puppies are unique gifts, and are currently priced at £499.00, but ShinyShack offer a loyalty bonus for any customers who replace their old dog with a new puppy, lowering the price to £299.00 for all subsequent orders. ShinyShack also take steps to help all new puppy owners realise the responsibility of dog ownership. “ Every new puppy owner receives a free 'Puppy Toolkit' which is crammed full of useful information, a 'Puppy Training Guide', and a 'Certificate of Temporary Ownership'. We do everything we can to ensure that each puppy is
adequately cared for, ” said Shafik. ShinyShack was founded and launched in 2007 to provide customers with a
range of unique and unusual novelty gift ideas. End If you would like additional information about Perpetual Puppies, or would

Here's another random act of silliness...
Gamestation claiming online customer’s souls
01 April 2010
Research from high-street retailer Gamestation has discovered that more than 88% of the British public do not read the terms and conditions of a website before they make a purchase online. As a result of the research, Gamestation has announced that on April 1st, in a test of its customers, it will include a clause in the terms and conditions stating that the customer grants the retailer the right to 'claim their immortal soul'. The online customer will be offered the opportunity to opt out of forgoing their soul by ticking a box in the small print. As a reward for their vigilance, they will receive a £5 discount voucher and entry into an online competition. For those individuals who offer the right to their soul to Gamestation, the retailer will subsequently e-mail the customer nullifying any claim on their soul with a gentle reminder that the devil is in the detail and to always read the terms and conditions. Gamestation will remind customers that not all websites are as trustworthy as theirs, along with a £5 voucher as a gesture of good will. The amount of unsuspecting souls that have been acquired by Gamestation will be unknown until 4.30pm on 1st April. However, Steve Wind-Mozley, General Manager of Online for Gamestation said: "Based on an average days trading, we expect to acquire hundreds of souls as customers continually ignore the small print."
