Nah, that was Resistance 2 - for some reason it only seems to happen in First Person Shooters - the only games I've had consistent problems with are Modern Warfare 2, Resistance 2 and Battlefield. I play FIFA online alot without a hitch, and many other games for that matter. Even third person shooters like Warhawk and Uncharted 2 work absolutely fine, it's just First Person Shooters that give me jip, I don't know what it is!??!

Had a strange few days,on thursday every game i was in was packed anything to avoid the election i suppose, massive problems with the servers on friday barely made it through any matches ,did notice Red Leader was playing but had a squad invite.
As for tonight empty games all round never got higher than ten a side at worst it was four verses three DULL DULL DULL.
The only saving grace was two teammates joining up but this soon degenerated into who could kill who the most (hardcore) childish but fun.

New sins for the list : sending out an invite then A- not putting his bloody headset on and B-retiring after we lose one match, why invite someone if you not going to be on for a while, its more than a little rude.
Also having accepted to new PSNF both left games as soon as i tried to join up,maybe they are chasing the magic 100 i was told about and i was just there to make up the numbers.

Hardcore or not hardcore that is the question ?

Out of the seven PSNF that are still regularly playing only two are willing to play hardcore, for myself either mode will do as long as i can play but it should be mentioned that on PSN at least its rare to get a full twelve a side, the thing that i find most odd is the lack of headsets on hardcore i would have thought most players would be miked to compensate for the lack of mini map.

As for last nights play the enhanced tracer cant come quick enough i hate that bloody hind.

Still find myself playing more rush than conquest but this is more down to my PSNF play habits than my own.

On the pro site the excess of snipers is a continual bugbear,up until now i've been lucky and mostly played with a mixed side but last night on Valparaiso last set with just A to go out of 8 attackers there where 6 snipers and one lad as assault and me as a medic it got so bad we where pushed back to the chopper spawn on the last set and still those 6 idiots came in as snipers,we lost of course and to be honest i almost quit in disgust the only saving grace was taking the GOLD tags from a level 44 (oh my precious)now as a rule i don't quit a match even when pushed back to the base in conquest and being assailed by spawn campers i will fight to the bitter end but last night was SO frustrating.

What The F##k !

Nobody mentioned anything about Golden Guns

Last night on Port Valdez i was killed three times by an engineer armed with a golden ump (in hardcore so only saw the kill-box) i know that camouflage weapons where coming but N64 tributes ??? anyone know what this is all about :?:.

Positives-made two new PSNF last night both Americans both better than me,been lucky that way.

Negatives-had to let my only Japanese PSNF go finally got into a match with him only for him to leave as soon as i started calling out positions, guess he/she was just collecting PSNF's.

Where Did He Get Those Wonderful Toys ?

Are you sure they actual guns were golden? I know the pictures for the skinned guns you can buy are gold when you go to pick them up.

Afraid i never saw the engineer up close, but when the kill screen came up his/her ump was gold/dark yellow in color in the weapon type box, also it wasn't just me one of the randoms i was on with also got hit by it he said he was firing of a question to the engineer as he had never seen it before either, for the last ten minutes or so the three of us in my team who where miked up tried to hunt this guy down but his side lost and he/she left the server, the American lad postulated that it was someone from DICE or E.A. (the engineer was in at level 22?) .

You could be right but i thought it was PC/XBOX with PS3 last so i didn't expect to see any new kit so soon.

Hi man, its not really gold . it has different camo than other guns, but its not gold. i think it looks gold to make it easier to choose when you are selecting your kit.
any way, gr8 thread. keep up the good work

PS. i stabbed the guy (who killed you last night -i forgot his name-) twice, after you left.
((revenge is like a ghost, it takes over every man it touch))

Good to see you on B.B.

Yes turns out its just the new kit  and that lad was just an early adopter, its release does bring up several interesting points though.

Out of my list of 17 PSNFs its normal to see 3-5 on playing each night last night however 10 where on so the kit has given a temporary lift to numbers.

Just had time for 2 matches last night and confusion over the new kit led to me holding fire and dying on a number of occasions it definitely adds another level of difficult to hardcore even on my 32 inch screen mid to long range its going to take me a while to get used to it all.

As for the price £3.99 for the bundle (800 points on xbox,so 200 is a pound ? why not 100-£1) it is quite annoying so much for the VIP code but out of the 4 PSNFs i matched up with all had payed up so i will probably surrender to.

:D hee heefinally managed to hit a fast moving Hind the speed-ed up tracer and a little deflection shooting and BOOM such a pretty sight, but it must be said at least 2 of my PSNFs aren't going to be happy they love their choppers.

Well peg me down as another mindless sheep,i paid the £3.99 for the new kit but something odd happened on the awards page despite never using the kit i got the four pins on the extreme right as soon as i downloaded the new stuff ???

Just had time for two games Thursday night (did see you on Big Blav but stopped shortly after) and the tinkering dice has done has definitely shifted the balance of power,no more the irritation of a well piloted chopper, attacking Port Valdez got two with the A.A. and defending Valparaiso i tagged and bagged 5 Blackhawks, afraid we had a case of sniperittes on that one think i was only one of two engineers the whole match.

Also got a new PSNF as well a lad from Turkey living in California ??? you never do know who'll you meet next,he did just scrap into the no one under 15 years rule but I'm getting more relaxed with this online stuff.

:?: Do have a question about the headset though,on the Audio Device Settings screen i cant move the level up or down from 3 the reason I'm asking is that I've been told that sometimes i can muffled or quiet in team-play,from what i understand there are three factors governing this A-the type of headset B-the quality of your connection C-the volume setting on the system (3) anyway of improving matters ?.

In case you come across this Big Blav you did recommend a headset to me but ive forgotten the type you mentioned, and for that matter does any one else have any recommendations for the PS3 (please note have a large head with big ears :| so must be comfortable ),must say B.B. when your on i can hear you clearly but quietly so you sometimes get drowned out in team-play...so how do i sound ?.

Got another PSNF message asking why im still playing this and after the hour and a half i had on saturday night i was wondering myself,no PSNF's on and not one headset between the randoms on four different servers, team co-op really is the essence of this game :(

Also had to let my newest PSNF go,now i will admit on the rare occasions i send out a team invite i may send two or three by accident (WHY CANT THERE BE A SIMPLE INVITE SENT TO LET YOU KNOW YOU DID IT RIGHT ) but this lad sent me SEVENTEEN in the space of ten minutes, must remain firm on the age limit no more weans.

As for this mornings play (extra shifts this week so dozed of by 10pm last night but woke up at 4.30am) my faith has been restored had the best game in weeks attacking Port Valdez:

Tagged 3 Bradley's Bagged 2 of them

Tagged and Bagged 4 Apache's and got a further 2 with the A.A.

Tagged and Bagged a further 3 Blackhawks as well

It got so bad that the one (American) lad on my squad with a headset warned that if i robbed him of a helo kill again he would hunt me down (ego alert) bit of a complement i thought.

And to finish of this great game i set and detonated the last crate with just 2 tickets left :) seriously how can i even think of stopping play.

One thing does bother me though...this may sound odd but when i wake up in the mornings im usually half conscious for a while and have a sort of half remembered half in control mix of dreams and blackouts and remember sights and flashes...it may be down to the extra shifts etc. but on friday morning i was dreaming about the game and i swear could here myself mumbling out positions with images of the game flashing before me.......sooo time for an intervention perhaps :?:

Interesting game on monday night, saw on of my PSNF's on so went to join up and as occasionally happens ended up on opposing sides.
Unusually for hardcore it was a full team both sides so spent the next four games battling each other, and it was a bloody painful experience i didn't realise my play-style was so transparent as A. ran rings around me (much like B.B. has before) only after changing my tactics did i make any headway against the squad he was in,but it has to be said if it wasn't for that i would never have got my first FULL SQUAD SET OF DOGTAGS,out hunting for A. came across three little snipers all in a row as the last one fell their teammate popped in to say hello only to get my knife in his face :) ,already got the 200 badge but to wipe out a full squad in one go.... .

Came across an interesting statistic (to me at least) only just noticed the compare your BC2 PNSF stats page, out of the 10 or so still playing i rank 6th overall but come first in the team-play score good to know all that dying as a medic did some good.
I did luck out on PSNF's though y2 is in the top 3000,shake the top 6000 and b.b.in at 8000 always good to have better players on to make up for.. well.. ME as for myself haven't really moved from around the 14500 for the last two weeks i put this down to my limited playtime (week nights 1-2h,sat/sun 8h if im lucky) now that ive picked up red dead this may suffer further, probably have to play offline though as i get invites most days.
