Hooray! ...That's a good thing, yeah? Hooray?

I had 3 weeks tutoring work over the summer but it got cancelled. And I'm still owed about £500 from past work I've done. Bad times

Nice one, dude.

I'm not, I've got work for a few months but the future is unclear. It could be secure or on someones couch.

Yes, it's a wonderful thing. The feds and state cut off unemployment benefits last week for me - right when they did that I ended up getting three interviews. I did the first one today and took the job. Its a full time temp physical security position at a local hospital - grave yard shift. Which is cool becuase I can work that job and bring in income, but still go after the physical security position at the local airport which is a goverment job and I want that job badly. Been jumping through hoops for the gov for five months now and almost done with that process.

I hope you fined something soon. Are they not paying you the £500? Do you have a way to file a grievance to get your £500 thats owed?

Your a teacher right?? Have you looked into doing this UK/US teacher exchange??

They are in the process of paying me, it's just that cos it comes from the council it needs to get passed back and forth to the relevant people to get signed and it takes a ridiculous amount of time.

And that exchange would be AWESOME, but it's not a teaching qualification I've got, it's an acting one. I just do drama teaching round at youth theatre, drama classes and festivals and the like. But if you know of any youth theatres out in California that need a tutor then I would totally come over! Even if just for possible Arnie sightings

Acting?? Have you audition adverts, stage work or extras forTV and films before??

You should try this site and type in drama teacher, actress or entertainment.

United States site
http://www.indeed.com/

United Kingdom site
http://www.indeed.co.uk/

Indeed.com is an awesome and easy to use site. It kind of works like Google, but for jobs.

Coolio, thanks pal! I'll try that out :)
Erm, I did a pilot sitcom for the BBC that was shown on christmas day a coupla years ago, but nothing ever came of it. And acting work's kinda dried up since though so teaching pays the bills for now!
