I've never found the sound they make when licking stuff so annoying either

Sadly the Japanese voice actor for Joseph Joestar died a very short while ago

He also voiced Heihachi Mishima

8) thanks, also took me awhile but I figured out why Griffith's armour seemed so familiar...

:? weird how photobucket never seems to work most morning, maybe its high demand from the US at that time of day.

That must be a nod or a crossover, right? Because it doesn't just look like it, it's the exact same armor that Griffith has.

Edit: Yeah, part of a Berserk armor set.

I haven't played more than a couple of hours of Symphony of the Night but I watched an episode and 3/4 of Castlevania on Netflix and you know in spite of some awkward looking faces this is really good. It makes me want to watch other Western made anime to see if I've missed out on secretly great shit.

Season 2 is out in a month, it's 8 episodes this time.

Voltron is pretty good. Starts off a bit childish maybe but after the midway point it's a really nice space opera thing with great action scenes.

It's also from the same animation team that made The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra which, in case you haven't seen them, should be very high on the priority list if you want to watch western shows.

Do they have bits where people's faces get cleaved in half and eyeballs gouged like Castlevania cause I'd be into that

Korra has some violent stuff but it's all off camera so you have to fill the blacks with your imagination. They're kid's shows mostly but there's a lot of stuff in there that can be appreciated as an adult.

I really like the whole Avatar saga. Airbender's artstyle is a bit too cutesy but Korra ticked all the right boxes for me.

I don't know of any properly 'mature' western animated shows though. At least nothing remotely recent. The new thing from Matt Groening maybe but I doubt that's what you're after.

What is going on with Edgelord's belt, I can't understand it

edit: Is it literally a padlock and key, like a chastity belt

Spawn The Series, ticks the 'violent' and 'mature' western animation boxes. It is also very good. There is also The Maxx which is very.. stylised and mature western animation.

Really been enjoying JoJo 👍 good recommendation Dwarf.

Wasn't sure at first about the 'Stands' but they proved to be quite imaginative later in.

I'm on the 4th series now I think. Some Angelo guy. The plot doesn't attract me. We'll see....

Edit: ooooo Savage Garden.
