Uncharted Freezing

I know this has been mentioned in another thread somewhere but it's really beginning to annoy me! Just got a 250gb Slim and after playing 7 or 8 chapters of Uncharted I'm finding I can't even get the game to go to the main menu anymore. I'm updated to the latest firmware too but when I try to play the game it's just a black screen and I have to restart the system. Anyone heard any actual ways of fixing this?

I'm afraid mine is still freezing towards the end of the game. I've got an older, fatter PS3. I'm fairly certain the freezing is to do with the last firmware update that added the sparkly dashboard.

No idea how to fix it, but would love to know!
