I think they're making up for all the free stuff. Also, the cars are just jazzed up versions of ones already in the game.

I think I'll pass.

Burnout Paradise's upcoming Toy Cars, Boost Specials, and Big Surf Island DLC packs can all be seen in the in-game "Burnout Store" (featured in the PC and PS3 versions), revealing previously unknown details. Although all the vehicles can be browsed, the content is currently inaccessible.

The Toy Cars Pack will feature nine rides, including an adorable miniature motorcycle. The Boost Specials DLC will pack two cars, featuring the previously unannounced Hawker Mech, which is allegedly customizable.

While the Burnout Store doesn't currently reveal pricing for these vehicles, an accidental release on Xbox Live Marketplace did (the content has since been removed). The Toy Car Pack was apparently offered this morning as a single download for 1,000 MSP ($12.50).

Each toy car was also available individually for 160 MSP ($2), with the exception of the motorcycle, the Toy Nakamura Firehawk, offered for 240 MSP ($3) -- the cars, minus the motorcycle, where also combined and offered in two separate packs for 480 ($6) each.

The Boost Specials Pack was available as a single download for 400 MSP ($5), or both cars could be purchased individually for 240 MSP ($3). Obviously, the final pricing is subject to change.

Big Surf Island, a new island being added to the Burnout Paradise universe, is still without a date. Promising the "biggest jumps in Paradise City" the upcoming DLC will also include a new vehicle: the Dust Storm. Undoubtedly, additional details will be unveiled in the coming weeks.

Also released (and still available) on XBLM and PlayStation Store, is the new Time Savers Pack for 400 MSP ($5), which grants purchasers "the keys" to the the standard retail edition's unlockable cars. Apparently, you can put a price on impatience.

Toy Cars
Toy Krieger WTR
Toy Jansen P12
Toy Hunter Takedown 4x4
Toy Carson GT Concept
Toy Hunter Citizen
Toy Carson Inferno Van
Toy Nakamura Firehawk
Toy Hunter Cavalry
Toy Hunter Manhattan

Boost Specials
Hawker Mech
Carson Extreme Hotrod

EA selling cheats for MSP again then.

Interesting... with this multipacks they keep doing - I'm pondering if its worth waiting and seeing if they release the whole lot for like 2500 or something.

Most DLC comes all in singles, or one "set" version so you'd get 3 cars, or nothing, not the idea of buying each car, or a multipack of 3 cars, or ALL the cars in one pack...

Anyone see what I mean? I'm also waiting on the fallout 3 DLC to see if they do anything interesting once the final one comes out, and if not.... well I might end up waiting the 6 months til it hopefully hits sale price ;) Not like I dont have enough games to play already.

Following a somewhat embarassing premature release of Burnout Paradise's "Toy Cars" DLC a couple of weeks back on Xbox Live, Criterion has finally set a legitimate release date for the nine-car pack. Keep an eye on your respective system's digital shopping center this coming Thursday morning -- that's when Criterion anticipates the miniature vehicles will be released upon the inhabitants of Paradise City.

Surprisingly, with two days between us and shrunken vehicular carnage, Criterion hasn't announced the price of the DLC bundle -- though if it matches the costs displayed during February's accidental launch, we can expect to drop 1,000 ($12.50) for the whole kit 'n kaboodle, or 160 ($2) per car, with the exception of the Toy Nakamura Firehawk motorcycle, which went for 240 ($3) during the early release.

Prices officially confirmed:
http://criteriongames.com/article.php?artID=415
Today we're releasing Toys into Paradise City. They'll be available as soon as your local Sony and Microsoft stores update.

You'll find that there are a number of different offerings with the Toys, so here we'll detail the 3 main collections.

Burnout Paradise Toy Collection
$12.99 / €12.99 / £9.99 / 1000 MS
This collection gets you ALL 9 Toy Vehicles. That's the 8 cars and the amazing Toy Nakamura Firehawk motorcycle. This represents the best possible value for you, and it's the only collection that has the Toy Firehawk. If you love the Toys as much as we do, then this is collection that you want!

Burnout Paradise Toys Collection 1
$5.99 / €5.99 / £4.99 / 480 MS
This smaller collection gets you Toy versions of the Hunter Cavalry, Hunter Manhattan, Krieger WTR and the Jansen P12.

Burnout Paradise Toy Collection 2
$5.99 / €5.99 / £4.99 / 480 MS
The counterpart for Toy Collection 1, this gets you the Toy Takedown 4x4, Inferno Van, GT Concept and Hunter Citizen.

Alternatively you can purchase each of the vehicles individually, although the collections listed are the best value available to you.

By the time they're done milking Burnout Paradise for all its worth, some people would have spent the price of a full game on nothing more than a party mode, a few novelty cars and an unlockable area. I wish they'd just get on with making BP2 to be honest.

Burnout Paradise gets a boost this week with the release of the Boost Specials Collection, featuring two "ultra-performance boosting machines" to add to your collection.

Two cars make up the Boost Specials Collection. The first is the Carson Extreme Hotrod, which Criterion calls the fastest car in Paradise City. It features a new vehicle dynamics system, granting it more intuitive handling and better drifting than any car in the game.

The second was supposed to remain a secret, but a Microsoft error that listed the downloadable content earlier than intended revealed that it is the Hawker Mech 400, a car that can be modified to drive the way you want it to drive.

The Boost Specials Collection hits Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network this Thursday, March 9th, as revealed by producer Matt Webster's Twitter. If the leaked data holds as true as it did for the Toy Cars Collection, it should ring up at 400 Microsoft Points, or roughly $5.

We admire Criterion Games' dedication to its racer, Burnout Paradise. Countless updates have added tremendous value to the game, and on April 30, the next update will be rolled out for one and all to enjoy: Cops and Robbers.

a company spokesperson said no details on pricing are available right now. EA will reveal those details "soon."
