The last Burnout game I played was Burnout 3.

I didn't like the murky visuals or the over cluttered course in the demo of the last one on 360. I'm definitelty intrigued by this new one though.

Nice. Cheers Mike. Didn't bother with Revenge either Ninja, it followed too hot on the heels of three for me. However, Burnout 3 rocked very hard indeed so fingers crossed for this. I'm one gold medal shy of 100% in 3, the hot lap in the F1-esque beast..too quick for my addled reflexes.

Yeah I completly agree - I really liked Burnout 3, spent so much time on it I got 100%, but when I played Revenge I just didn't like the fact everything was so hard to see - particularly with the 360 version. Really looking forward to the new one though.

Has anyone managed to download and play it yet?

I have and if you liked burnout revenge you'll probably like this. It feels very similar except for the open city to explore. One problem I have is that on a standard TV it's hard to make out the map easily. But it does say it's "HD optimised".

Oh, and they've brought back the DJ, the one from SSX 3. He's not quite as annoying as Stryker from the 3rd game.

Have downloaded the demo also and impressions are that it is burnout you know and love. DJ kind of grates, but i wouldn't really go out of my way to make a point about it. I think for all you guys who i played test drive with, this would be brilliant. Thing is, i'm getting it for the PS3 :?

Well if you want to play it online then it begs the question of why?

So i don't have to associate myself with rif raf like you

What it is, is that the 360 sounds like an F-14 using its afterburner. The game was made for the PS3 and ported to the 360.
But again, all my friends will get it for the 360.
Thats my predicament

Liam I think you should get it for the PS3. At least that way the rest of us will get a word in edgeways when we play it.

Also have you played it on the PS3? Have you? Might be shit. Might not. But then I seem to remember you were going to buy PES on the PS3.....

Yeah Liam, what if the ps3 version is as unplayable as PES2008 eh? Then you'll be like Les Dennis buggered with a breadstick

As long as you can cause massive pile-ups, this will be great as far as i'm concerned. You can keep your serious racers, with designer cars and customisible stats (whatever the hell they are), for me, it's all about ramming someone into a van and laughing as they explode into a million pieces.
Or using a crashbreaker to score obscence points in Crash Mode.

That DJ will be turned right off though.

The game is exactly the same if not better on the PS3. Criterion have officially stated that they focused on the PS3 version and then ported it to 360. On one hand the PS3 is like a baby in a coma and on the other hand all you wasters are the only people i play online with. Frustration

ah, but is that because the PS3 has the more complicated architecture and dev tools? perhaps both versions will be identical, so getting it on the 360 will probably net you it for £10 cheaper, plus mean you can play us on it.
