For me, the one essential game that should belong in anyone's collection is Oblivion. It is the matriarch of my games collection and is always there when others have left the nest (not that I have some freaky games nest that I keep them all in).

same, once i became a vampire i could never be bothered to follow a 3 hour FAQ to fix it.

i'd reccomend Bioshock but if you were getting live that wouldn't be much fun so COD4 (which everyone on the forum seems to play) my favorite online FPS is shadowrun but hell, who is going buy that now Call of Duty 4 and Halo 3 is on the shelf

Just one? Dead Rising. First game I've played for a while that doesn't just feel like an Xbox game in a new dress.

I got way more store credit than I thought (I was exchanging things) so I managed to pick up The Darkness, Oblivion. Halo 3, Forza 2, Bioshock and Dead Rising.

Thanks for all the recommendations guys. Don't think I 'll be able to afford a live subscription for a while yet though.

Great choices there mate, nice broad selection which will keep you going for a while, especially Oblivion and Dead Rising!

If and when you get Live, I'd advise you to stock up on credits and buy farenheit (unless you can find it second hand for cheaper). Fabulous game which is a great choice for MS to add into the originals series on Live.

PS - if you do contract vampirism in Oblivion, you can buy a hideout on live which gives you an instant cure! vampirism nearly killed that game for me :(

I never realised how many good games there are for the 360. Some of them gems can be picked up for under a score now too. Viva la 360! :D

You get a month free when you 1st create your account!!! Then if you ask DWK26 nicely he might give you some of his many many 48 hour live codes(which I also have a few if you want them).

I also recommend you get yourself a few XBLA games.

Castlevania:SOTN
Marble Blast
Worms
Geometry Wars

They should keep you going.

Or you can just not sleep and get cured of the disease that causes vampirism

I just started playing that again (not from the start, i mean just continuing with my game) and i noticed i have clocked up 60 hours of play and still havnt done loads of stuff!

 Sorry ant, i spent a brief time with you and the lads "enjoying" this mulitplayer "fun" and i have to say that the game is muck. Multiplayer is average and the only thing that could possibly bring it beyond average is the level editor.
Compare it to Call of Duty 4 and then tell me its a good game
