Good to know about smart leveling. As the exotic handcannon still beats out anything I've picked up since. Pity about shotguns though, I had a really awesome one at the end of D1 but having them share a slot with a sword/grenade launcher/rocket launcher? Probably means I won't touch them unless I get a really awesome one down the line.

I finished the campaign. It is somehow both very ordinary but also completely ridiculous. The 2nd to last misson was great. The rest of them are very Destiny.

They tried to put a lot of weight behind the story and a whole lot of extra effort in to the cut scenes, but the story they try to tell is dumb and it's not very well told either.

Now getting in to the "real game" I guess you could call it, we'll have to see how it goes. I have a feeling it is going to be exactly the same as Destiny 1, but just more friendlier to the player

Or maybe it will be exactly the same who knows

Managed to go on a 10 kill streak yesterday in the Crucible. I'll probably never manage to do better than that :lol: Really enjoying the single player side of things, plodding through slowly as I love exploring each area and doing all the random stuff on each world. Can see me dipping in and out of this for months/years depending how quick they drop new content.

We started the raid yesterday. I can't certify but I think we're about half way through. We've gotten stuck on a stealth section which is, let's say difficult.

Currently power level 283. Slowly crawling to 300

Started a new character today as well as there's basically nothing I can do on my main character that will benefit me except the raid

Is 300 the cap at the moment? I think I'm somewhere around 220? It'll be a while before I get close to 300.

300 is the cap. Technically 305 because you can mod stuff for slight extra damage. But I haven't messed around with mods at all so not sure how that works

I keep forgetting mods even exist since they are tucked away in their own sub menu. I rarely venture to the other parts of the inventory screen, other than the main gear screen.

I found a really dumb but fun Jedi style force push Shotgun this morning t power level 302. My current overall level is 293. I was like "Oh, my god I'm in the road to 300"

Then I saw a thing that surfaced the number 350

Like, god damn it

This the point where people that really enjoy the - 'grind' shall we say - start refining their gear and strategies to do prestige easily. Its also when those that don't enjoy that aspect start drifting.

I reckon after we finish it on Sunday our team will drift. The loot doesn't hold that appeal which is a shame. It looks very nice and the raid us fun but there's little that's unique about it.

I'm to do some trials tonight see if I can't get that flawless. I need to start focusing on PvP a bit aswell.

So I ended up playing Trials yesterday with OneTwo and he's friends, and for those who don't know Trials is like the hard core multi-player mode. You have to win 7 matches without losing three - if that makes sense. And despite being pretty useless we actually managed to win 6! Which is nuts. Especially for me because I said to someone first time we tried it a few weeks ago "If you are serious about Trials then you need to pick someone else"

That was kind of gutting because I think that's as close as I'm going to get to winning that, but at the same time it's not like I really deserved victory anyway I just spent most of my time dead going "They're over there guys"
