You know, that reminds me of when I used to do Quasar/laserquest/infrared gun shooty type stuff a lot, in a big factory converted into an post-nuclear industrial complex. It was great fun, and I always used to ham it up when I was taken out, rolling on the floor covering my supposed wound and shouting 'For gods sake someone help meeeeee' and suchlike.

One time I theatrically grabbed my chest when shot and did a glorious swansong. However, one guy on my team thought I was trying to cover the chest sensor to avoid the hit registering. He accused me of cheating and for the rest of the game 'accidentally' kept shooting me in the back. It was really annoying and ultimately spoiled my evening, as our team kept losing 'cos of his 'own goals' on me. WTF was that supposed to prove? Twerp.

Anyway, I digress...

There's too many funny insult/noob/arguing moments for me to remember and recite to be honest! But there is one funny yet annoying moment which stood out for me.

You know when people have their mic too close to their mouth, so all you can hear is like robotic breathing - someone was doing that all the way through a match on Timesplitters 3. People were having a go at him for ages but he took no notice and kept breathing obliviously. Some people muted him. Eventually he was like, "Oh, you mean me?! Sorry, I'll fix that"
At that point he must have put the mic inside his mouth, because it was the loudest and most horrible breathing I've ever heard, worse than darth vader. Everyone was getting annoyed with this guy but I found it all a bit amusing.

It's safe to say he was shortly kicked

one thing you often get over Live is people breathing and stuff cos their mikes left on.At least i have the decency to belch words to amuse myself with.
Top quality Laserquest story shaolin_monkey,that's exactly the sort of thing i'd have ended up doing if i'd ever gone. That,or the bit in Spaced when Tim and Mike go paintballing :D

one way to avoid it is to not use your headset, though the problem to that is you then can't hear the normal people.
You could always do what i do on live:talk utter gibberish, sing songs about ruff-puff pastry, generally being a total nutcase. The tossers will then block you so you won't hear them, and people that share your sense of humor will laugh and join in.That's what i do anyway :D

you can also mute them individually.

My first live experience was on battlefield 2 on 360, I got into a gunner seat of a chopper and a yank was flying the thing. The level I was playin was a bridge to far with the tall buildings. So anyway this yank pilot took us straight to the top of the tallest building and said hey man jump out you get loadsa kills from up on the building. Thing is I didnt have a sniper rifle cos i dont like being a pussy sniper and to be honest I was enjoying using the minigun on the chopper. I refused to jump out and said i was happy were i was, so the yank then started saying to one of his buddies who was on the same map, I hate it when god damn amatures play this freakin game dude, his buddy responded with yeah man I know wot u mean god damn noobs. I was laughing my cock off when I eventually died and continued to shoot them both on purpose then kept sayin sorry guys im an amatur i dunno how to play games dudes. They were not amused i can tell you. Most of the time I get hammerd on live (unless its pro evo)but hey its gaming fun and i love it.

Ah yes. Thats what I like to hear. I hope it was a ranked match as well. In fact it might a good idea to go online and just kill your american team mates.

The funniest thing I ever heard was 2 americans arguing with each other for 8 minutes solid. We were on the behemoth in class E cars and these two yanks relise their both from new york. it was alll quite civilized untill one reliased the other was from a poor part of town. Then the insults started flying, so funny, this kid said buying a viper was pocket change and he had a mustang Blah Blah Blah. It went on for ages, all the lobby was pissing theirselves at these two idiots talking crap. It was a relieve when someone finished so we could kick them out.

Also, this guy from Sweden who spoke English (badly) and was way too enthusiastic, shouting every word. The conversation went like this:-

I am liking this game, it is so good, are you from england? I need a revenge do you understand I am on the grass! I needs revenge!

Honestly guys, he sounded like a gay hitler, and was probably the funniest thing I have ever witnessed on Live.

I used to play Forza Motorsport alot, it was the only game I didn't play with just the guys on Now Loading.

anyway was in this one game, full startign grid of cars, 2 of them were friends with each other. They both had Mazda RX-7's I believe and I was in an Evo, so I had cornering speed, they had straight line speed, the circuit was blue Hills I think its called (it has a really twisty section and two really really long flat out sections so was suited to both our cars).

Anyway one of these guys started to bitch because I kept beating him to second, everytime, although I couldn't keep up with his mate who was in an identical car. I made a point that I was beating him because I was taking advantage of the fact I'm pretty fast round corners and had chosen a car that compliments that, so was making enough space between myself and him for the straight, but he kept bitching and asking me to change car.

In the end his mate told to shut up or he'll boot him, he decided to leave because "this games shit anyway, a RX-7 should always beat an Evo)

That's very true.I spent some time in an American High School back in '98,and was shocked at how in their drama classes+tournaments, nobody is told they've done something wrong. All they ever got told was "superb, fantastic, you're great" etc.

You need constructive critisicism,as if you're told "you rule" all the time, you belive it.As a lot of Americans seem to.[/quote]
