I can honestly see the PS3 falling flat on it's arse. At the end of the day £425 IS a ridiculous amount of money to spend on a games console. If Microsoft get some clever marketing in over christmas, I think they could steal a fair chunk of the market (in Europe at least) from Sony.

Biohazard has it right about the Wii, it's not really in direct competition with the other two, it's doing it's own thing, like the DS, and I can see it being a big success too.

Personally- I think that the outcome will be
1st Xbox 360
2nd Wii
3rd Playstation3

-its by far from a foregone conclusion, but the X-Box is really coming into its stride now- with really excellent games- really talented producers and gaming companies.
-The Wii is capturing the imagination of a lot of people- it looks 'fun' !- I've never bought a console from launch, but i'm seriously tempted.

-The PS3 really only has its past to support it- its become hugely arrogant and bloated. There is a hell of a lot of anti-sony sentiment out there. I for one am just dying to see Sony get slapped right down to size.- It happened to Sega- It happened to Nintendo and I can see if happening to Sony as well...

I think the 360 will sell most. It has a lot of good games out and more coming out this month. There are always going to be people who are put off the Wii because of the graphics as well. The 360 has great graphics(for those that hadn't noticed) and is cheaper than the PS3(again, just for those that didn't know). So it will have long term appeal to most people whereas the wii will definatly sell well at launch but like the gamecube it might not stay in peoples minds long enough to sell well for a long time.

I think it will be between the wii and 360 anyway. Sony have really shot themselves in the foot with their prices, arrogance, game selection, online service, I could go on but I won't.

For me the 360 holds most appeal at the moment.

That would be interesting.
Best website ever.
Its an exellent source for console sales and such.

Also, whoever said the Ps3 will fail, as much as I would LOOOOVVE to see that happen (I hate sony. nintendo 4 evah) I just cant see it happening. Maybe by the time of the Ps4...
