It's been nearly three years since Pious last even touched anything to do with gaming (yes, even my obsession with the Binding of Isaac has ended) yet by chance I came across this:

Only four chapters in so far, yet it's pretty damn good, especially for 99p.
I really enjoyed that. One of the series I have time for. The second plays different but is still good.

Mario Odyssey looks amazing and the Switch seems to have a lot more going for it than I had predicted. Now I want a Switch. Should I buy a Switch?

I guess it would make sense to wait for African American Friday and see if I can get a decent deal :)

I brought another graphics card for my PC... this time its a cheap 1:1 replacement of my original that fizzled out which I'm hoping will work ok with my PC. I basically just want to play through most of my PC backlog, well mainly just Mass Effect 1-3, Mirrors Edge, Castlavania LOS 1&2 and especially Binary Domain. If I can be bothered I really need to upgrade the entire PC to get the Wii/Gamecube emus running correctly at full speed.

Dude where's Skyrim.

I thought you were the Skyrim guy.

Let me know what you make of the VR. If you haven't done it before it's pretty special but the blurriness takes a bit of adjusting

I've already played Skyrim so I didn't want Skyrim VR really, as much as I adored that game.

Only played a bit of VR Worlds and the Kitchen demo so far, the blurriness was a bit odd at first but I managed to adjust it so it wasn't too bad.

The graphical downgrade and severe AA was more noticeable to be honest, could see a bit of screen-dooring on the Sea-adventure thing too but nothing too bad.

But yeah, I'm very impressed with it, particularly the Kitchen demo, that is truly brilliant. Makes me want to get RE7 again just to play through in VR.

Nintendo Switch deals seem to be a bit thin on the ground but GAME had a special 6:30 opening for African American Friday so I decided to head down there and have a look.I arrived just before 8 and hoped that it wouldn't be too busy. It turned out that GAME and indeed the entire retail park were pretty much deserted.

They had a Switch Neon with Super Mario Odyssey for £310 - not amazing but like I said, I didn't think I was going to get much better. I added a wired pro controller and a case. I wanted Skyward Sword too but they were charging £55, which is a crazy price for a game.

I had seen Skyward Sword in Smyths toy store of all places. Unfortunately it turned out that they didn't open until 9. It was a cold morning so I went off to Asda and wandered around there for 45 minutes. I finally went back to Smyths and got it for £48.

The Switch is charging now. At least I hope it is

I saw a Switch earlier this month for £240. Posted it on here.

None of the Black Friday deals come close. Black Friday is just all about capitalizing on people's sense of FOMO (fear of missing out).

eg, people like Maf

Bilge, you mean Breath of the Wild, right? Otherwise you'll be disappointed to find out that your new Switch won't read Wii-discs.

Yes, I meant whichever one it is. Definitely for Switch.
