I've got it. I'm not sure how much i've contributed though. Is it always running in the background or do i actually have to have it open to contribute?

I've been running this in the background for quite awhile on my PC and am glad to think that my idle PC is actually doing something to help mankind. If i had a PS3 i would probably leave it on with Folding@Home on. The fact that this could be helping many people is an amazing thought.
