I was playing Pokemon over the weekend so naturally started thinking about the Switch Version and just can’t help but feel like that game is still 2 years away

Probably, yes. Summer/autumn 2019 I'd guess.

Definitely next year. Unless they show a near complete version at E3/Direct to completely take us by suprise.

Not likely.

Prime and Pokémon same year? Wet dream.

Switch is hacked or something apparently: https://www.resetera.com/threads/fail0v ... hod.38069/

If the homebrew scene gets good enough I could see myself buying a second 'dirty' Switch and just messing around with whatever cool shit people can get running on the platform.

Keeping my original pure and virginal for proper games and shit

Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus hits Nintendo Switch in June

The port of Doom struggles to maintain 720p HD resolution even when the Switch is docked, and performance sometimes drops below 30 frames per second (which is half the frame rate of the other versions).

But the general consensus is that it’s a technical marvel that Doom can run on the Switch at all, and since it and Wolfenstein 2 run on the same engine, fans have some idea of what to expect with the Switch port of MachineGames’ Nazi -killing first-person shooter.

Linux on Switch, running some emulator: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PhRYKDnagUQ

An open-source Switch could be a really really cool device.

Rumours are that there's a hardware revision coming which will close this loop so anyone looking to have a homebrew Switch might want to act fast. Assuming you don't want to hack your existing one and get banned.

Can't wait. Strange that they actually went with the name Octopath Traveller. Always assumed it was a placeholder.
Is it on the Switch?

Ahead of next week's release, Nintendo recently launched a new overview trailer for the Switch version of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze.

Project Octopath Traveler was the placeholder.

Octopath Traveler is the final name.

To put this into perspective, remember this game comes from the same publishing house as Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue.
