What the hell is wrong with people: https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comment ... in_a_week/

This is a card that came out during the summer for 600~ ish pounds.

I get the impression that a lot of PC gamers don't have much in terms of long-term plans when it comes to money...

RX480 for £150. http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/radeon- ... uk-2628433

This is a 1080p 60Hz card for as cheap as it gets. Also comes with DOOM which everyone knows was the best game to come out last year.

Today, developer Mojo Bones and publisher Bandai Namco annouced that their post-apocalyptic survival game Impact Winter, which was originally supposed to launch on PC on April 12, 2017, has been delayed to May 23rd.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fG1yfO_X7vc

In Impact Winter players play as Jacob Solomon, who accompanied by his team of four survivors will have to survive the next 30 days in a harsh, post-apocalyptic, and winter environment until help comes in 30 days. In the game you will also be accompanied by a robotic companion, Ako-Light, who will help you explore a hostile world and find solutions that will help you stay alive. Here are some of the game’s key features:

Nvidia just announced their biggest and most powerful graphics card of all time with the Nvidia Titan Xp. This newly designed card is an upgrade to the Titan X line, delivering top of the line graphics power at a higher than normal price. Pre-orders have already begun on Nvidia’s official store, and keep reading to see if this card is worth the steep $1200 price tag.

The official stats for the Titan Xp include: 12GB of GDDR5X memory running at 11.4 Gbps, 3,840 CUDA cores running at 1.6GHz, and 12 TFLOPs of brute force. Nvidia says that “with the new TITAN Xp we’re delivering a card to users who demand the very best NVIDIA GPU, directly from NVIDIA and supported by NVIDIA.”

The Titan Xp also opens up the market to new users, with this being the first Pascal graphics card available on Mac. “Speaking of users, we’re also making the new TITAN Xp open to the Mac community with new beta Pascal drivers, coming this month. For the first time, this gives Mac users access to the immense horsepower delivered by our award-winning Pascal-powered GPUs.”

This new card comes just a couple of months after the unveiling of the 1080 Ti, which was billed as the most powerful card on the market. That card was definitely a nice performance boost over the standard 1080, but this new Titan Xp card will even eclipse it. Expect 4K gaming at high framerates, and exceptional VR performance, even while using supersampling.

The Titan Xp may have a high price tag, but the performance promised here is massive. For those who seek the top of the line PC gaming experience, the Titan has been the way to go, and this new model seems no different. Expect to see performance analysis as soon as these arrive in people’s hands, but it should be strong.

Microsoft Bans and Removes Emulators from the Windows Store

Been frequently enjoying some emulators on the Windows 10 store recently? Well, that enjoyment is coming to an end. As it previously announced it would, Microsoft has changed its Windows Store polices in order to block all emulation of video game systems from the storefront. And now it has begun removing such software, such as Universal Emulator — which you may have known by the name of NESBox — from the store as well.

As MSPoweruser reports, this will apply to all Microsoft platforms, meaning not only will PC users be unable to get their hands on such software, but Xbox One and mobile users will be unable to as well. The site notes that emulation of PC systems (i.e DOSBox or VMware) appear to be fine and unchanged, but whether this will stay the case is unclear.

GOG Pairs Little Nightmares with INSIDE for Free in New Pre-Order Offer

Titles like last year’s acclaimed INSIDE have proven that indie games can be the perfect medium to explore dark, twisted worlds with poignant messages, with the upcoming Little Nightmares seeming to be the perfect pairing with the game in a new promo offer.

Online retailer GOG has revealed a new promotional offer that pairs the upcoming Little Nightmares (from developer Tarsier Studios) with Playdead’s acclaimed INSIDE, allowing those that pre-order Little Nightmares to receive Playdead’s second title for free.

The offer comes as an exclusive deal on GOG from now through May 12th, 2017, which gives some some wiggle room for purchasers to take advantage of the offer as Little Nightmares releases at the end of April.

Little Nightmares will release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on April 28th, 2017, while INSIDE is available now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Despite having just last week unveiled its RX500 series of graphics cards, AMD has confirmed that its next-generation GPUs will arrive this quarter.

Wccftech reports that the Vega cards, which will be the first to offer AMD’s much hyped new graphics architecture, will be launched by June at the latest. The selling point is the supposed ability to “effortlessly” handle 8K video.

AMD is also said to be focusing all its efforts on ensuring a smooth launch, with “high performance, reliable” drivers available from day one. This, undoubtedly, is a reaction to the fudged recent release of AMD’s Ryzen processors, whose arrival was greeted with various incompatibilities and performance niggles.

Now the dust has settled, Ryzen has been largely welcomed for if nothing else finally presenting a viable alternative to Intel’s dominant Core i5 and i7 lines, even if ultimately they have fallen short of the pre-launch performance hype.

It’s also slightly odd that the Vega CPU lineup will arrive just weeks after the brand new RX500 series GPUs.

It was only last week that the RX580 and RX570 were unveiled, although each are largely identical to the RX480 and RX470 that preceded them. The differences are limited to increased speeds, with the components remaining the same. Whether such changes warrant a rebranding and price bump has been a matter of some hot debate online.

However, there will be one new GPU release before Vega comes along – the Radeon Pro Duo. The new card effectively bolts two RX cards together onto a single board, resulting in a whopping 32GB of GDDR5 VRAM and 72 compute units, resulting in 11.45 TFLOPS of output.

The Radeon Pro Duo can apparently run four 4K 60Hz monitors simultaneously. Oh, and it’ll cost around $1,000.

Crytek Releases First Gameplay Footage of Hunt: Showdown

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Zqk_X9-he8

You and your partner are members of a secret hunting society that tracks and kills monsters. The bounties are high, but so are the risks. The smallest mistake will cost you everything—your bounty, your gear, your life, and your very soul.

Some hunt for wealth, some for power. Some hunt to protect others, some hunt for glory. You must track your quarry through a dark and treacherous world. Winner takes all. Fail, and go straight to hell.

Hunting for sport is child’s play. This is a different kind of game, one with high stakes and even higher rewards. You will face creatures that want to gorge themselves on your flesh and devour your soul.

Everything and everyone is against you—even the earth itself. Make one mistake, and you will die in filth, forgotten. Succeed, and the bounty and the glory will be immense.

Other hunters seek the same prey, lust for the same bounty. Get in their way, and you may find yourself their target. Get caught, and they will pry your trophy from your cold, dead hands.

:| so ripping of Supernatural then.

Yeah, I bought Hitman in the christmas sale and that was it. Think I'm going to sit this out unless someone on here can make a pitch for why I should get Stein's Gate.

Like I could watch the anime instead but I dunno.

Seeing that Black Desert was discounted by a whole pound I went and loaded up my pre-steam version and saw an 80GB patch waiting. Fair warning to anyone picking it up!
