Capcom do something right!

In a post on the PS Blog, Capcom has confirmed an HD version of Okami is headed to the European and US PlayStation Network.

The remastered PS3 title will include support for PlayStation Move controls and trophies.

The US release hasn’t been priced, but the EU PS Blog suggests a £15.99/€19.99 price tier.

Andriasang reports Japan will receive a physical release but other territories are still to be confirmed.

Okami released in 2006 and was immediately lauded for its aesthetic and gameplay, but failed to sell strongly. It was followed by a DS sequel last year.

Nice, Looking forward to this as I shamefully never got around to playing this on PS2, so the spruced up visuals we be an added bonus.

An excellent choice for HD treatment. I finally got round to playing the game last year, it still looked stunning on the PS2 so with spruced up HD visuals I can't imagine it not looking even better. To bad its only going to be a digital download for Europe.

Yup I agree there, Though suppose you cant really blame them given sales of the original were not great.

Awesome. I had it on PS2 but never got round to finishing it. I do love long games, but boy Okami sure does go on. I'll almost certainly get it though, it's a great little game. And it'll look gorgeous, no doubt.

Insert joke about on-disc DLC here.

Great, another format people won't buy it on... Mind you, don't own it myself, so I suppose I'm as much to be blame as anyone else.

Okami's all right. It's just a Zelda game that looks a lot different. Better than some, worse than others.

I hope they do a good job because it was a game born from limitation so when those are removed it unveils a munter, like Silent Hill 2.

Nice it's getting another lease of life even though it's not as good as a non-Zelda game than Beyond Good & Evil and that's already had a HD spruce up.

Okami sure looks nice but I never saw the fascination, the gameplay isn't exactly amazing, particularly on the wii version I played.

I bought it for the wii and hated the annoying sound that Issun made. Strange as I know there's a good game in there but I couldnt get past that.
Gamertag BigRich1979 I bought a gamecube at launch for £400 :( but then I won a limited edition Arkham City 360 so balance has been restored! :)

I'm over twenty hours in. Game has aged very well, pretty much because you just can't put a date on that art style. Could have been made six months ago, really.

I wonder how long this game is? I seem to remember a 50 hour game back in the day, although I wasn't very good at video games back then. So maybe 48 hours this time round. Or 49.
Is it on the Switch?

Okami is like a 50 hour game. It goes on way too long.
