Even now I regret getting AC:O on Xbox. But it was the shiny new box at the time.

I know I shouldn't but I will literally enjoy a game more if it’s on the console I prefer, even if it is the same on both systems. I know it’s dumb but it’s true.
I think everyone is like that. I don't know of anybody who just tosses a coin for every new game to decide which platform he'll be getting it on. But you made it sound like you'd play TR games on Playstation platforms for all eternity even if PS6 turns out to be a dishwasher with a screen.

Exclusives are where the money gets spent so I do get that.

You will never see a game as lavishly produced as God of War as a multiplat or PC exclusive. They're system sellers for a reason, they can take a loss on that shit if need be.

If Xbox is just Gears 5 and Halo 6 and they don't give those series a kick up the arse like God of War did then what's the point really. Gears 4 was nice and technically top tier in most respects but designed the same as those 360 games.

Don't you fucking dare turn my Gears of War into Dad of Oar thank you very much.

State of Decay 2 received a 7.5 from IGN and an 8 from Destructoid so it seems it's one of "those" games... in any case make up your own mind on things.

Not Dad of Oar but it's got to be more than Gears with some robits and 'oh look we are inclusive here is a female character to play also'.

Like it's perfectly fine but MS is not pushing the needle much these days.

Like I'm remembering in Gears 4 they had this thing with the extreme weather. That was cool and led to some dynamic shit happening in firefights. But it's not really evolving it into anything new or interesting.

If not Gears or Halo then surely some original IP. Which they've had a lot of trouble with recently.

I get this. It's still a bugbear for me that I have AC: Syndicate on Xbox One but every other game in the series on PS3/4.

And I'd rather have gotten Rock Band 4 on PS4, but my catalogue of songs was on 360 so I couldn't leave that in the digital dust.

Its already a campaign driven third person shooter, short of turning it into a kart racer I'm not sure how you can actually change that up too much. Same with Halo, unless we add the son of Cortana and Master Chief.... and make them paddle on a boat for 10 hours.

The first State of Decay was pretty good. It looks like the wheels might have popped off for the sequel. I'll be keeping an eye on it to see if they manage to patch it up.

I will, though. Tomb Raider, Devil May Cry, Grant Theft Auto, Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, etc. There is no way I don’t but these on PlayStation.

I can’t think of any Xbox games that have gone multiplat. But the same would be true there. Like even though they were only exclusive for a little bit I will always buy a Bioshock, Mass Effect and even Fallout/Elder Scrolls game’s on Xbox.

Anyone buying Crash Bandicoot remake on anything that isn’t a PlayStation and is over the age of 11 should feel great shame. Great shame, indeed.

The PC version will have porn mods so that's clearly the way to go

Joke aside that would actually be kind of cool. Like a super brutal Twisted Metal style version of Mario Kart.

The reason for Gears 4 being rather 'classic' was a deliberate choice though as the new developers didn't want to go ham. People were saying they'd just making up excuses but could you imagine the shitstorm if they actually switched up most if not everything Gears was known for on their first work with the IP? I definitely could.

I agree that MS needs more. Cancelling Scalebound and Fable Legends definitely didn't help. Wonder if we'll see something from that new project that Playground is working on at E3.
