Re: Forum Shutdown

As an aside, I do often wonder how good it would be to have a decent memory?

Anwyay, Dwarf and/or Sly noted one of my first comments on the Forum was based on Eternal Darkness... So it was probably that. Much like Binding of Isaac, ED was a game I became obsessed with.

Re: Issue 205 feedback thread

Just the typical crap you see everywhere these days IE since Brexit and Trump. Everyone under the sun is suddenly some political expert, with some highly self-valued, asinine opinion to share on the world...

Re: Issue 205 feedback thread

I would imagine similar propaganda was used throughout the Empire, although perhaps none of the others have as complicated a relationship with Britain as Ireland, I understand that. I was talking with some friends a while back. With Brexit creating a tightening noose around all our necks, I pondered...

I honestly didn’t know Dwarf was into Pokémon before this game came out.
Same. Adds more legitimacy to the idea that Dwarf & Maf are the same person though

Re: Issue 205 feedback thread

Patriotism was the main drive to recruitment in WW I, hence why some "16 y/o's" were not 16, but joined anyway. But that is because people had such pride in their country, back in the day. The "we're all in this together" mentality, I would agree had more legitimacy in WW II. Nothing summed up WW I ...

Re: The Xbox ONE thread

I just bought Shenmue 1 & 2 (£19) for my brother. We had the first one on Dreamcast, so I'm sure he will get a kick out of how stilted it all is.

Re: Issue 205 feedback thread

I may have a Rose Tinted view of the glorious days of the Great British Empire, but I'm not naive. We were equal parts hero and villain to many. But as the soldiers in the trenches learned, we're all brothers in arms when backs are against the wall. It's not something that can easily translate outsi...

I think "No Deal" has the best odds right now.

I'm so sick of hearing about this. What happens when you give a vote on an important decision to the "Boaty Mcboatface" public...

Re: Issue 205 feedback thread

As I said, it comes down to perspective. I did also watch a program recently about the Irish heroes of the two World Wars and the reception they received when they first came home. Which was pretty shocking and somewhat sickening, even to one as apathetic and unemotive as myself. Heroes that died in...

Re: The Pokemon Thread

Sometimes I think Pokémon is like Devil May Cry with how there's this demand for the core to be just iterated on and not to make these drastic design changes but I think catering to the same crowd like Pious says maybe prevents the influx of new, refreshing ideas. What I'm saying is that maybe we n...

Re: Issue 205 feedback thread

Or for some people the poppy is inseparable from things like the Bloody Sunday massacre and they use different symbols for showing remembrance Not that I have any clue that the fukin context is here and what this has to do with games. Dwarf, leave them to it. First and foremost the poppy is exclusi...
