Regemond we're going to take this thread over, lets talk about what we're reading. Tell me more about that Stephen King book.

I'm thinking of reading the Third Body Problem, been on my shelf for ages cause it was a gift.
Nah, wouldn't wanna confuse maf. Books are too smart for him.

Re: The Currently Playing Thread...

I think that if it's a single post to say 'yo, I'm playing this', then currently playing is fine. If it doesn't go any further than that, obvs. Pious didn't really give any opinion on gameplay, mechanics, any of that lark, so I think that post was fine here. If he goes on to post about it, talk abou...

I'm 95% sure I never had this many glitches/issues/problems.

The occasional bit of jank, sure, but not this much ridiculousness... Sure it's not your weird ass download going crazy?

Re: The 'what book are you reading' thread.

I let the wife pick a book for me on my Kindle, which ended up being 11.22.63 by Stephen King. Holy crap is this book long. It's good. Like, really good. But just so damn bloated. I've took the strange approach of watching the TV adaptation at the same time, so it's cool to see the trimmed down vers...

Re: Days Gone

Don't besmirch the inFamous name with this insipid cash grab.

InFamous was a power fantasy. The realisation of being a superhero without the name of an actual superhero attached. The whole series had some great ideas (especially Festival of Blood), it was just the execution that was lacking.

Look out here comes Reg with the logic :?
I have logic, I just choose to use it on arguments that are difficult to decide on. Like Pizza vs. Video games. Which is effectively an open-faced sandwich, but still.

Bread is great, but there's a game called I am Bread, so sandwiches are now obsolete.

Re: Social media hostility - GamerGate

It’s an interesting debate but I think there’s been a bit of an overreach with actors having to be similar to their character to play them. I think if they did that it'd basically be the same as saying 'yep, I'm a cunt so Imma play a cunt on screen'. So yeah, definitely overreach. There's nothing t...

How long before they use it in an angle to put the belt on Nattie, a la Rey/Eddie?

Re: Social media hostility - GamerGate

Why is anyone making a film about/featuring an irredeemable racist in the first place? Spike Lee's new film BlackkKlansman (I think that's the right capitalisation...) is a film about a black cop who infiltrates the KKK with the help of his white partner. Topher Grace (Eric Forman/Eddie Brock) play...

Re: Mafia 3 |OT| Steamboat Willie: Now on PS+ for August.

It nails the setting and soundtrack in a way that only GTA normally does. Not saying anything else is comparable, but when they call Clay a n-bomb at the start of the first mission - and do it in a way that's designed to set the tone, not garner headlines - you know they're trying to do something sp...

Re: Politics Rebooted

Everything is worth debating, even if it's to dismantle an argument piece by piece, by dismantling and breaking down and finding what is factual and what is opinion. You cannot complain if you do not question the things going on around you. If you allow it, shit slips through, and ultimately it's t...
