Re: The great TV Shows thread! (formerly THE WIRE)

Whilst I will not doubt your retro knowledge I believed that they'd taken their naming inspiration from (Kevin Tom's) Football Manager, noting that there was no direct connection to those much earlier games.

Re: The great TV Shows thread! (formerly THE WIRE)

I quite like Josh Widdecombe (from when he did Taskmaster) so stuck with Go 8 Bit this week (in most part) but the Football Manager and point & click parts were quite poor. Likewise it seemed clear that Josh's control-pad wasn't working properly on the "jump" game, yet they just continued with it. B...

Re: Dragon Age: Inquisition |OT| Boredom

Haters gonna hate, but nearly 3 yrs after finishing DA:I on the 360 I'm now playing the GOTY/ Complete edition (I.e. with all DLC) of DA:I on the PS4. 10 hrs in so far, and really quite enjoying it all again, there are some great moments already, like coming across the dragon fighting with the giant...

Re: Video Games +

One of the possible considerations for the Dark Souls format debate (Switch v PS4 (v Xbox One)) might be how From / Nintendo implement the online element for the Switch. Past history has shown that Nintendo have been a little 'odd' when it comes to online stuff, and with no clear (recent) info about...

Anyone watch the US national anthem thing with Fergie?

I'm wondering what type of singing it is. Is oversinging a word?
Reminds me of an old Simpsons episode :

Re: Kingdom Come : Deliverance.

Just read the Eurogamer review, who again saw it appropriate to mention " a disturbing lack of people of colour" in the game.

Then I thought to myself, well in Witcher 3 how many notable "people of colour" appear in that game ? I couldn't recall many (if any) ?

It's also Cian's birthday, how could you ignore him? I'll never forget his two posts.
Did he have kitchens to sell ?

Tell him there's a blue hedgehog in it and it'll suddenly be a GOTY contender.

This game sounds like bullshit
That'll be medieval historically accurate bullshit though.

I actually quite like the sound of it, but will wait about 6 months until initial patching issues etc have been sorted out.

Re: The Pokemon Thread

Just saw a TV advert on Sky One (during mid episode break in The Simpsons) for Pokemon Go.

Hadn't even realised that was still a thing.

Finally got myself 500 moons, played the Darker Side for a bit, then thought, meh, I'm no longer actually enjoying or seeing any further point to this, time to move on.

Well I am a baby after all :P

Re: The Rant Thread

Whilst its football related my question is more physics/maths based, so perhaps stick with it. In yesterdays Huddersfield vs Man Utd game the VAR (video assisted referee) gave an offside decision against Utd based on the following evidence: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43100490 My question is...
