Re: Call of Cthulhu

Seems to me that this might now have been rebadged as : The Sinking City Since I can't imagine that Frogware have been developing two CoC games. https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2018-05-25-investigative-open-world-lovecraft-horror-the-sinking-city-gets-a-new-teaser-trailer But.... the Focus CoC ga...

Re: Kingdom Come : Deliverance.

Getting use to the pacing of the game now - it's a real slow burn, if you try to rush things then it's not a game suited for that. Combat has to be approached carefully, Lockpicking is a learnt art, even fast travel isn't that fast, and there's patience needed when searching for specific objectives ...

Re: Dark Souls

Maf - well done on doing the gargoyles, but the video was pretty dull, way too much time hiding behind that shield, don't you know there's a roll button?

I don’t know how to get there, honestly? I’ll wander around
Don't you pick up a key that now allows you through a previously locked door?

Re: Bad rep for bad retailers

I popped into Game (Newport, S Wales) today, didn't see Dark Souls or Detroit displayed anywhere obvious, I was just browsing generally, but their other prices were consistently more than online.

Re: Dark Souls

My mistake #1 in DS (360) was attacking the merchant who was behind the barred door early on - she wouldn't then trade with me all game.

Re: Dark Souls

So the remaster is out on Friday. Who”s looking forward to it? Who’s playing it? Who’s willing to talk with me about it and provide emotional support when required? I'll offer a shoulder to cry on if/when you either throw your Switch in frustration, or simply snap it in half. Shiny the game has arr...

Re: Kingdom Come : Deliverance.

Is there any way of knowing where a main quest has a time limit or not, as I've got a whole bunch of stuff I've picked up (and stored on my horse) but I'm now looking for Ginger and don't know if he'll hang around (he's with the charcoal burners apparently)? I intended to offload a bunch of stuff in...

Re: Kingdom Come : Deliverance.

Hunted some rabbits, which was actually really fun, then killed a kidnapper, and scared the other away.

Really getting in to this now, it's still a bit daunting, in terms of content, but growing on me so much.

Re: last movie you watched

I grew up with the Adam West Batman repeats on TV, which were fun, I wasn't that keen on the Tim Burton films, but for me it was the 1992 Batman:The Animated Series which really nailed it (as the bridge to the dark fantasy).

Funnily enough those detachable 'mote controllers would be ideal for VR.

Apparently the internet is freaking out over a 'cloud' version of this for Switch that you subscribe to.

Like PS Now but for this one game. Really weird idea.
Nah, what would be a really weird idea would be to gaffa tape your Switch to your head and play it like it's a PSVR.

Labo VR....

Re: Kingdom Come : Deliverance.

I've got 5 maps (which were part of the included DLC?) but haven't free roamed too much around Ratten yet, and I beat up the guy who owed your father money (again) and he told me about a cache under a dovecote, but not explored there yet either. Thought it best to go through a few story missions to ...
